yes, but it's actually less common for right handed players to be so one-hand dominant. the reason you don't hear the criticism isn't bias, it's fact. anecdotally, one of my good friends is a lefty and he had the same problem--you could remove his right arm and his game wouldn't have suffered. this wasn't true of any of my right-handed friends/teammates.

in the nba, the most notorious one-handed players have been lefties, in my recollection: odom, ginobili, randle.

i don't have a good theory as to why, but here's a wild one: the world is set up for right-handedness (because it's far more common), so in order to be left-hand dominant, you have to REALLY want to do things with that hand. so, perhaps you completely lack ability/confidence in your motor skills on that side?

and julius absolutely does not want to put that ball in his right hand for more than one dribble, if that. and he certainly hates to finish that way (though he got one in the last game).

i think people should get used to it. ginobili never really got a right hand, nor did odom. i'd guess it's rare to develop that at this stage.

Last couple of games, he has looked tired to me. Not as decisive as I would like to. Also not making FTs.

Missed a number of gimmes last night. And it seemingly would not kill him to wait 1/2 second at the FT line before firing up his too flat of a shot with little margin for error.

Spurs defense played Randle well...cut off his angles and force fades which he missed badly. Liked that he did not complain but supported his teammates on the pine.

I liked seeing Randle really engaged on the bench even though he wasn't playing much of the 2nd half. Cheering his teammates on, laughing with the guys on the bench, and being the first out to console laugh with Josh after the missed layup in the 4th.

I feel like his energy and activity have slipped just a bit. We’re at that point where he’s shown all he can show to get paid and maybe he’s scaling it back a bit to make sure he doesn’t get a late injury. With what happened to IT, I couldn’t blame the guy.

He's good as gone. If Mavs offer him $18M+, I just don't see the Lakers matching it.

As good as gone? Seems like a stretch to me. If anything we’re the front runners. If we get PG and/or Lebron first we could and should easily match that offer.

We're signing PG, resigning Randle and resigning IT to a large-ish one year deal. Then we are signing Leonard the next offseason. Isn't it obvious?

I understand we're the front runner, but the question you have to ask is does Magic think JR as a CORE piece for the Lakers in the next 5-7 years, especially paying him at $18M per year. I'm just not very sure about that. I think we will sign JR if we strike out in FA, but I don't think the Lakers are jumping up in joy that we can resign JR, especially at $18M per year.

18 million a year for Julius is not bad at all. He'll probably average 18 and 9 over the course of that deal. How is an 18/9 guy with handles who can pass and switch to guard any position on defense not worth 18 million a season? With Julius the question isn't if he's worth 18 million, it's whether or not 18 million for him is better for us than 35 million for Lebron.

First step to getting all three is moving Deng. That's the $18M contract right there.

Otherwise, it'll be Lebron and/or PG, and Randle will be a contingency if one or neither signs.
