Even if he starts, it just means KCP comes off the bench. He’s still going to play, we’re screwed in that regard because KCP sucks so damn much, but I at least hope Hart gets the bigger share of minutes.

Next to LeBron the best player on the team tonight by a rather large margin.

Luke said during training camp that only Lebron is guaranteed a permanent role. Everybody else has to earn theirs. I believe Hart earned his over KCP last year, but I'll let Luke play this out for now without criticizing him too much. The longest tenured player on our roster is Brandon Ingram. The coaches and players have to figure out what works and what doesn't.

IMO Hart was the most consistent rookie last year. Kuz had shooting binges that looked Kobesque. Zo looked like the 2nd coming of Magic Johnson at times. But both of them had (and still have) a lot of holes in their games. Hart went to Villanova for 4 years, and is more well-rounded on both ends of the floor.

This was the big takeaway for me. Depending on how critical of LeBron you want to be, Hart might have been the best (keyword: might). He hit shots in times of the game when I truly wondered where the offense will come from. And I like how he started off shaky, but recovered to have a good 2nd half. I feel confident when he's on the floor, just solid all around. Hart's kinda like the guard version of Ariza.

If it were up to me, I'd start Rondo/Hart with Lonzo being the 1st guard off the bench. And Lance will get to do Lance things for 10-12 mins a night.

I'll ride shotgun in @OmarE 's "Trade KCP for a big" bandwagon. I'll even fill up the tank

Hart is leagues better than KCP but I honestly like him off the bench, just play him 30 mins. The entire offseason we were touting our deep team but the bench looks lost out there. Hart seems the only guy knowing what to do, especially with Kuz lost at center out there.

Contend for 6th man my dude!

Yes, but even if he doesn't he better get the bulk of the minutes and be closing games

People are saying he was great last night. He was but he that first stint in was in for he was terrible. Losing Nick over screens, missing both of his FTs, and a few turnovers. But after that he was rock solid.

I think Hart is definitely a part of the young core just as Lonzo, Ingram and kuz are. You can see he's going to be potential all star caliber starting shooting guard in this league for many years. Also he seems like the type of guy that only wants to improve and not settle. He a bull dog. #nottradebait

IMO Hart is better/more complete than Lonzo and Kyle right now.

His game isn't spectacular but it doesn't have any black holes. Can finish at the rim with both hands, can shoot, can defend, can rebound, can hit FTs, can run, can slash and can handle the ball. Even when he has bad games, he doesn't hurt your team during those games. That's a huge quality for me.

Passing is a work in progress but he isn't a PG so that's not really his duty.
