Yes. I understand and agree with much of the hypothetical thinking ...... (see Lamar Odom ... except Josh burns hotter and more consistently as a competitor in his early years) ..... but the reality is you're making it more complicated since they're not going to make a hypocrite of Luke and the FO who said 4 positions up for competition. Josh is going to be the starter going forward, they just did it. It's a moot disagreement at this point. I think.

Its easy to point to one quarter and paint a narrative, but hey, why not...

It's easy to point to Bron going an unlikely 0fer in the 1st quarter of start that game...easy to point to chemistry development after Zo and Kuz were inserted into the starting lineup after the suspensions...easy to look at the Lakers being 4th best in fg% and the Suns being woeful at defense, yet we only outscored them by 2 in the 1st quarter with Hart as a starter and then with Kcp taking over, outscore them 44-24 in the 2nd quarter...

It's also easy for me to leave this discussion and hope Hart remains healthy and not gas out as the season progresses, playing as a starter....

Is that honestly your worry? That a 24 year old kid is going to get gassed? That's not a concern in the slightest to me. If he's getting tired at 24 yeard old, he is in the wrong business.

And he can get just as easily injured off the bench as he would starting. His attacking style is prone to injury anyway.

Kuz actually more prone with his also pedal to the metal attack style with high speed spins in traffic. Josh maintains his lower and more balanced center of gravity with more muscle armor for the contact and falls. :p

His style of play is where he needs as many fouls as possible and enough gusto to close out important games too. Since we're not at full strength/talent at the C position, dude actually bodies frontline players on a nightly basis...that s*** could be taxing on him as the season goes on.

If Luke moves him (plus Zo and Kuz) back to the bench when Do and BI are back...I understand completely why, yet fans are going to think Luke is a lame, regardless of who closes games and plays more mins.

Btw, I would like to see BI earn his spot back. So I'm hoping Luke throws a log on that fire and has BI sub for Kuz initially. Also Kcp was the only guy with a negative +/- last night, which is why Luke played him less minutes and didn't rely on him to close the game. Imho, that is what fans need to start paying attention to...not who starts.

Hart was excellent once again in what looked like a "down" game for him. He was very active defensively especially against Harris and Murray who can get hot in a minute. Love his energy and "heart"

Down game in terms of shooting, but dude was a +15... a team best last night.

Haha... Don't "mind" being the only one..I'm fine with that.

Possibly. We have to see over seasons if he has that clutch big time shot in him consistently. So far looks like he does and has the mental makeup and nerves for it.

Josh Hart is the truth. I hope he continues to develop well. Him and Lonzo can be our starting back court for the next 5-10 years. They play both ends of the floor, impact the game and fill up the stat sheet.

...Reggie Miller and Phil Mickelson agrees with you. The former described him as fearless. Threw himself at Jokic on an open floor play to draw the foul.

It will go unnoticed to a lot of people but that offensive rebound/hustle by Hart at the end of the Spurs game when Lebron took that 3 and missed it Josh just sacrificed his body for the ball. All HART!

Nice comeback from Josh tonight. We needed it in the 4th quarter.

He kinda of shut down Collins for a stretch there, which is impressive. We had a somewhat smaller lineup out there and his defense and boxing out caused it to not hurt us. Love this guy, to me he remains the one of our young core I’d hate to lose the most.
