Am I the only person who sees Aaron Afflalo here?

It's LakersNation Josh, but that's okay. You'll learn

reminds me of Zu last year, Bleed Gold and Purple (which really was his GF that tweeted that out by the way)

Not a bad comparison. I think Aaron is stronger though.

Solid pick. You just need some high character kids who are willing to do unselfish things for the team, it fits the description for the kid.

When they first announced his name at the draft, for some reason I got confused for a second and thought we had taken Frank Jackson. I believe my exact reaction in game time chat was "mehhhhhh", because while he seems alright, I don't like Duke players. Then I realized it was Hart from Villanova and I felt better about the pick pretty quick, watched many Villanova games over the last 2 seasons.

It's funny, Brandon Ingram and I share the same initials. Didn't even think he'd be even be in the picture when I created the name. Low and behold BI is a household name.

I'm just glad to see someone older than 19yrs old taken in the draft. Thinking about Nance last year as well. There has to be some value to spending a few years in college, but it seems like you're an old maid if you can't get picked by 19 or even 20yrs of age.

Agree. If we're not expected to do much, let the young guys play and develop. I don't know a lot about him, but rave reviews on this pick in particular for us.

I'm thinking it's one of the things the organization is doing now, back to Nance Jr. Drafting guys a little older who stayed in school and matured more physically and skills wise. College developed them, the club doesn't have to put as much time in teaching basic stuff so many of the long range 3 point bombing, highlight dunking kids coming into the NBA from "one and done" college career ..... don't have. Seems like excellent plan. Hart stayed and became a champion. How valuable for big stage awareness was that for him. In his press comments following his work out he got asked something like were you nervous (or feel added pressure) with Magic Johnson and the banners all around during his workout. He laughed a little and shook his head in a polite way and said something like No I've played in the national championship game.

I do believe this guy will be more NBA ready than most, but I'm not exactly eager to hand him a role. College does not always translate, even if you've been there for 4 years. Go out and show us and earn that spot. There's plenty of minutes, maybe even a starting role available.

JC should follow the Lou Williams, 6th man career path. Be a professional scorer and help the team keep leads. If JC has that kind of role, he will be a huge asset. Replaceable, but still an asset on a contender.

I like we are drafting the right kind of players. We are going to be a powerhouse again sooner than I thought possible. Not all picks will be hits but at least we have the right targets.
