I disagree completely with JHart throwing shade at the fans. If anything he shaded Rob haha.

I for one think we had enough with Zo/Bi/signed4th/future picks.

Kuz & Hart should have been the guys we likely tried to keep since they are both older (ie had longer collegiate exposure and in Josh's case championships) and for a win now team, those type of "kiddies" would have helped.

Along with BI, I'm going to miss this guy alot. I'll miss him like a high five.

He will very quickly become a fan favorite over there. Best of luck Jason Barkley.

I thought you were wanting to put us on a Laker gif diet. Like the city of LA with their road diets. Retiring Josh and all.

Hart and Ingram are both classy guys and good ball players. I will watch them and wish them success. I hope they come to realize that we simply had to make that deal, I could see bringing either of them back someday, if the stars aligned. I do think Ingram will be an allstar sooner than later.

    538 data...

Hart is another guy with interesting value. Five-year value was listed at 79.4. It's up to 92.2 for the next five seasons. Category: up-and-comer.

These kids do realize they could end up back here someday, right? Happens a lot in the league, player movement, never want to burn bridges.

Exactly...never want to burn bridges (see Howard with the much maligned Stay campaign).

Zo made a song that wasn't dissing LA in the least. He said they would regret trading him and if you believe in your transcendent talent, that's what you're supposed to say. How is that disrespectful towards the organization?

Hart walked back his initial statement and should have manned up to it...but he is absolutely in the right to feel this way. So is BI, but dude ain't about socials, so we'll never know.

The kids didn't win s*** for us, but unlike Jules, these kids acted like they wanted to stay knowing they were on the block for Anthony f***ing Davis. The least we could've done is given them the courtesy that it's no hard feelings cause it's Anthony f***ing Davis.

It's wild that Laker fans would be upset at these guys. They said their thanks to the fans and the organization when they got traded. What more do you want from them other than maybe having the balls to tell their pops to chill.

I don’t know if you were replying to me, or Laker fans in general, but I’m not mad at Hart at all, he was one of my favorites and I wish we could have held onto him. My post was citing exactly that, I hope he comes back someday so he should be careful about speaking too poorly of the “Lakers Organization”. Think it, hint at it, but come on kid, don’t say it outright, this is a business. Zo said he was hurt to be traded, but he has yet to truly say a bad thing about the Lakers, I would bet he’d like to end up back here too.

I was addressing fans but using your burned bridges quote as a jump off.

It's a two way street tho. The least our FO could have done is tell these guys they were traded before it hit Twitter. That's either on us or their agents and judging from Hart's reaction it doesn't look like it was his agency.

Speaking of which, it's crazy coincidence that Moe was dumped and Hart wasnt told he was traded and both those guys are repped by Joe Branch of Roc Nation. Then we turn around and give 30m to Green, who happens to be repped by...Joe Branch of Roc Nation.

Anyways, hope our FO learns from this. I don't anticipate any trades due to our asset pool at the moment, but it's probably best to learn how players want to be treated in an NBA climate driven by player empowerment.

feels like Hart inclusion was mostly salary matching purposes so we could get the max space, in hindsight he wouldn't have been needed to complete the deal (knowing Snakey Leonard deal) and he would've been a nice impactful bench guy for us to the pt maybe we wouldn't have a need for an Iggy right now

Not having communication directly from the front office for any traded player is poor form, and it’s happened several times.

Time to do better for sure.

At the end of the day, we’re in the people business.

Finding out from twitter is not a great look, in the future our FO should avoid that. At the same time, that’s kind of the nature of the league now. The second anything is about to go down Woj or Shams or Haynes have tweeted it. They should have contacted the players before, but maybe they couldn’t get in touch, maybe it leaked, Twitter is crazy fast and there’s no shortage of leakers in ever franchise it seems. Also, it’s part of the business, always has been, have to be ready to be traded at any moment. I can only feel so bad for guys making millions of dollars to play a game for a living. Josh did indeed bust his a** for the Lakers, and so does almost every other player for every other franchise, and guys trying to make it from the G-League and overseas. Not unique, gonna miss the dude, but hopefully one day he finds his way back, if the “mainly one guy” he’s referring to is no longer around. This old vet knows what’s up though, you have what josh said, and Fox echoing it (kids), and then you have the guy that’s been in the league forever who learned how it goes, they’ll learn too.

Taking shots from afar sounds dumb and immature business wise.

These guys aren't going nowhere if they aren't putting the responsibility on their shoulders.

It's always the others... Ya, good luck sucking in NO, getting your azz shipped and explaining why NO sucked.

Yes directed at every player who leaves a team that underachieves and puts the blame on others.
