Zu looks REALLY slimmed down here. Could barely recognize him. Looks like he's finally dropping that baby fat. Strength wasn't always his forte, if he can work more on a finesse, fundamental game a la Pau, that would be perfect at the 5 spot.
Saw this before but now seeing that photo above he could certainly do more with his strength while still losing the excess weight. He had the great base with the trunk legs and he's definitely running the floor now better. Really well actually from what we saw in the Euro tournament. But he could get a lot more wiry strength and cut condition to his muscles than he has. From a distance anyway he has that appearance still .... OK hedging my bet here so realdeal doesn't tell me I can't really tell jack from that photo. Looking at it hard it is out of focus and the brightness off his pale skin with the light. But I think maybe can see a a tiny little bit of a hint of the definition in his chest that showed in the tournament? That looked pretty good for a reasonably agile 7 footer with skills. And the arms looked decent when they were being worked in the photos or footage.
Does Luke have a black eye in that photo of Zu? Is he getting into fist fights? Byron would be proud.
...older by five years hot girlfriend watching his diet, managing his work-out time and allowing him more sleep? Could it be...? Seriously, as @TIME observed, Zubac looks leaner and possibly could change ends faster on the floor this season. He'll be given chances to prove his worth. I'd rather Zubac back up McGee than Wagner and slide the latter at the 4 spot.
Says he's lost about 20 lbs. I found them. https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...ews-ivica-zubac-says-hes-lost-about-20-pounds
Sooooooo damn rooting for Zu to have a break out year in his progression. Would be huge and solve a lot of problems for us. Cheap Big Man asset who wants to remain a Laker.
Lithuania got em by that 1 point. Hopefully that is it for Zu's team in this tournament. Don't need him getting hurt.
^^^ Nope not the end. Another important game for Croatia against Poland today. This article says Lakers not thrilled about him being over there. I think it's great for his conditioning and timing coming into camp long as he doesn't get hurt. Svi's over there too of course. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/ivica-zubac-says-lakers-not-125850692.html
I don't really believe the report that the Lakers aren't happy with him playing. Luke during the 1 hour talk on ESPN 710 with Rob and Jeanie said how proud he was with Josh Hart wanting to play the entire summer league because he wanted to show what he's worked on and improved. Zu is doing the same thing in wanting to play and for his country. Don't see the big deal or problem. Even if he were to get hurt I don't have a problem with it.
Im not a fan (never was) so i might be biassed but he's a borderline bench (10-11th) player. He gets lost on D, talks and pouts too much. He moves well and looks stronger though. Glad i didn't drove for 30mins. to watch it live
