    I am pulling for the guy. Unfortunately, the Lakers want thoroughbreds. Guys that can play 35-40 min a game and can play 75-82 games a year. I just don't think he will ever be the legit starting center.

    I'll admit it. With all the young talent that we have lost I am pulling so damn hard for Zu to step up this year and become the next (a least) "good" Big Man on the Lakers. I do expect him to be quicker and faster and stronger from the Euro tournament footage we saw and a couple still photos of his maturing upper body. He's always had a solid lower base. Need to see those soft hands again and a ton of work put into his skill areas. Now or never kid! The opposite of the last couple of years where you were 2nd or 3rd on the Big Man chart. You're the only true one we have now. Your minutes and Lakers career to lose. (trade of course you can't control) But should get at least a half year to see what you finally got barring the unforeseen.
