Losing Nance obviously gives him minutes but Zubac has done well. Even makes his free throws. Sets good picks and rolls hard to the cup. Zubac also tries to flush it instead of being cute. Never will be fleet of foot changing ends but is smart enough at his age not to make bonehead decisions out there.

Ball and IT finding him easy basket around the rim. Keep it up Zu.

Zu got smacked in the face with a wakeup call in Summer League as to how lacking his conditioning and strength still were. Along with the embarrassment of getting ripped on line with the honeymoon over. Doubt he ever makes that mistake again and busts his a** from here on out. The more he plays now the better he moves and looks out there. If he's still here by next season may be good enough to be our starting center for the 20 minutes a game. Putting on his man muscle now.

He’s a much better rebounder and interior presence than Nance was. His massive screens open doors for Zo and IT to create, and he rolls right to the rim, staying at the level of the ball as a target. You can’t teach his level of positioning on the floor.

I’d much rather have 30 minutes of Zu than Brook next year.

Yeah those are some "massive" screens. Doing them really well now.

It's tough but losing his best friend and father might have been the best thing to ever happen for Zu going forward.

Well it sure freed up playing time for him. Let's see if he can recapture what he found last year but lost over summer.

Am I the only one who thinks Zu is not exactly a good fit on this team? He's too slow on defense to switch effectively and he's not really good at catching the ball and finishing at the rim. Lopez is similar in the sense that he lumbers around, but he can at least stretch the floor with his 3 pt shooting and is playing pretty well since the All-Star break.

It’s still up in the air for me, but he has been pretty bad lately, was tonight too. He’s the one I offer first in any trade scenarios.

He's the one disappointment for me this year on the roster. He probably got his hopes up after last year then walked in to camp to see Brook Lopez and Andrew Bogut signed. Then his minutes go from 16 to 8. But one thing I loved about him last year was his block s and the sheer number of altered shots he created. His presence in that is nowhere near the same now averaging 0.1 blks pg and 0.9 per 36 mins. He averaged a block (0.9) in 18 mins per game last year. He looks soft body-wise and looks soft inside, usually gets his hands on the ball only for a nano-second before it's slapped or knocked away and doesn't have a good sense of what's coming at him defensively, peripherally or from behind. Last year he was a blocking machine. If giving him some good minutes next season doesn't change things a lot, I'd trade him and get a center with room exceptions or vet mins or resign Brook on 1+1 since we have his bird rights.

...Zubac's really looked ungainly and uncoordinated of late. Don't get it. Getting the Shawn Bradley heebie jeebies.

Zubac is ruining any value he might have as a throw-in trade asset.

C'mon kid. He's going to get cut and end up a G-Leaguer.

After that solid showing against Minny and the game after...Zubac's overall play had regressed. He seems to labor on the floor. The only saving grace I can muster for Zubac is that he is young and is yet to fill out. I hope it is not too late for him by then...

I gave up long ago when he came to Summer League out of shape. That's all I needed to know where his head was at.

No idea what’s going on with him. When he first started playing again he was having some nice games, scoring and boarding. Now he looks like a lost high school player out there. Not even doing basic pump fakes on his defender, getting the ball rejected over and over. The fact that he’s showing no progression in the fundamentals is concerning. Like real said, he’s killing any trade value he has, I know there’s potential there, but the kid isn’t even showing it in flashes right now.
