True dat. He'll you and I are probably better than Ennis. I can still hit the J and able to move my feet on defense.

I have been very disappointed in Isaiah's antics as a Cavalier. I hope his time here is better than he was there.

When he's on, he's a ridiculous scoring threat to the point that he can take over games. When he's not, he's a defensive liability with a big mouth. I hope being put in a situation that he openly begged for changes his attitude on the floor.

I don't know if he's starting or not. I have a feeling the Lakers will ask him to come off the bench so they don't alienate LeBron's buddy. He'll be given a ton of freedom here though which is great too. Isaiah in a high pace offense is ideal for him.

I don’t love IT, he’s kind of been exposed, his defense is non-existent, and teammates seemed to dislike him in multiple places from what I’ve read. That said, he’s an expiring, and he can easily replace the 15 ppg JC was putting up. In fact those 15 ppg are the low end for IT, so I’m fine with the move. I think he’ll be way happier around these kids than that group in Cleveland. Clearly he’s not in long term plans if we want LeBron here though.

    Johnson: LeBron, how ya' doin?
    James: Magic, my man, wassup?
Johnson: You wanna come on board...?
    James: Shorty still with y'all?
    Johnson: Yeah...we're workin' about that...
    James: (click)...dial tone...
    Johnson: LeBron? LeBron? Hello?

I’m a fan of IT cause he has mamba mentality. So I’m very pleased he’s a Laker. And he can provide more offensive punch than JC.

He may just be a rental, but get ready for a fun run to the rest of the season. And he is Mamba’s protege.

    And here we go....

Real talk though... IT you don't have the leverage to be dictating these things. This is assuming IT feels the same way his agent does which I'm assuming he does.

Why would he not start though? Start him at pg while Lonzo is out, KCP still gets to start. Move KCP to the bench when Lonzo comes back, who cares about KCP’s feelings, he’ll still play plenty.

I agree and Ball could move to SG. But then do we worry how KCP and his agent react to KCP going to the bench?

I agree, but the Lakers aren't going to do ANYTHING that could piss off LeBron at this point. Unless KCP says he's fine coming off the bench, IT is going to be coming off the bench.

I don’t care honestly. KCP has been crap for a while, he hasn’t even had like a 20 point game in forever and his defense has gone from good to mostly gambling for steals. IT isn’t quite right yet, but he was an MVP candidate last season. It’s more disrespectful to bring IT off the bench who had taken a team to the playoffs vs KCP who has done nothing but turn down a contract he’ll never get offered again.

Yeah, I guess, but if IT says he’s not coming off the bench, then I guess he has to be bought out. I’d rather continue to win games than just dump a guy with IT’s skill set to appease Rich Paul.

I don't disagree. I'd really hope IT doesn't try this s*** though. I mean c'mon the Lakers are giving you a new lease and you're out here causing a fuss? IT and his agent are just crushing his value. IT could recoup some value by being pliable out here. The Lakers are going to give him PLENTY of minutes and opportunity even if he's coming off the bench? Why continue to develop ill will around the league?

Pride is a powerful thing, and that little man complex. Again, guy was an MVP candidate and led his team to the playoffs last year. I can understand why he doesn’t want to be coming off the bench, he fought his whole career to get the respect he has now, why would he want to go backwards. I’m not saying he’s right, I’m saying you have to see his side. To go from star of a playoff team, to off the bench for a lottery team? Yeah, I can understand why he would feel he’s better than that.
