We need a Cowboys thread. At least Doc and I can use it. :p

So the Boys just resigned Jason Garret for 5 years and Maranelli for 3 years. Both solid continuity moves for a team on the rise. Garret's not the best coach in the league, but he is growing into the job and I do like his leadership style. Maranelli did a lot with a little. Hope we get him some D Line help next year.

They definitely need to rework that defense. Offense works nicely. I like Terrance Williams, but if you can find another quality WR that'd help.

My Cowboy buddy had an idea. Let Murray go get his enormous contract elsewhere and bring in Adrian Peterson if/when he's out of the Vikings organization. Murray is going to be really expensive this summer and although he had a great year, health has been a legitimate concern his entire career. If you're going to pay big money, you might as well get the best RB in the business.

Marinelli will be the greatest signing of the offseason if that reported 3 year deal is true.

I'm fine with Murray or AP. Either one will thrive with that OLine. I wouldn't break the bank on Murray if AP comes available. Probably could get him at a discount considering he wants to be a Cowboy.

Pass rusher, shut down corner and a healthy Lee and Rolando will take that defense to the next level. (Which would be above average)

Finally looks like the organization has direction and a level of stability to it.

Oh and resign Dez to a career deal, that's a bad man and a game changer. Cowboy for life please.

Trade proposal: Crabtree and the Niners offensive line for Dez Bryant and the Cowboys offensive line.

You can keep the rest of your team.

    Deal?

If you act now, I'll throw in Vernon Davis.

You better throw in Willis if you want to shed Davis.

Rumors of Murray to Oakland. Can't say I want him; after the 460 carries, it'll be an experiment seeing what he has next season.

I never trust a player who has a breakout season that miraculously happens when he's about to hit the FA market.

I like Latavius... He has nice potential. Oh and that Murray? A name for Mark Davis... Larry Brown.

I hope Murray stays, but I wouldn't break the cap for him. Also hard to turn down AD if that works out. AD would have a big year behind this line and with his comeback motivation driving him.

Big rumor is that a scandal video of Dez Bryant doing something like Ray Rice will be released in the next day or two.

Saw a small blurb about it from another site...looking to another Ray Rice/Greg Hardy incident.

Greg Hardy spent the day with the Cowboys today. He is eating with the coaches tonight and taking a physical tomorrow. Looking good for a signing soon. This would be a big FA get for the Boys.

ESPN said he's supposed to choose between yall and Tampa today. As a Falcons fan, I'm hoping he goes to Dallas and leaves the NFC South.

Went to Dallas. Not a fan of Hardy after reading about his domestic violence issues, but he's a good NFL player.

Agreed, if it actually happened as she claimed. She never showed up for court. Likely got her pay day and dropped it.

He wasn't just accused, but convicted! She decided not to take the stand and it gets swept under the rug... Terrible.

But if he's on your team on the field you're going to have a good player. sigh

"If Charles Manson could run a 4.4 I'd sign him too." -- Jimmy Johnson

The NFL is full of people who would be in prison if the NFL didn't give them an outlet for their aggression.

I know I played football for that reason when I was younger. But if you read what he was convicted of doing to that poor woman it's gruesome.

Sometimes it just hits you that this sport you love is populated by maniacs and it's depressing...

Ya gotta admit though, don't you have to be a bit of a maniac to even step out on and NFL field? I honestly think that taking football to that level and willingly getting punished like that probably means you got some wires crossed somewhere in the old noggin.
