    GC,

    - do you cook? If so, your best dish?

i'm not much of a cook, just the basics...you wont catch me preparing rack of lamb or anything. I make a mean sardine dish...just give me some kumquat fruits, onions and soy sauce.

    - what is your go to fast food place when time is short?

I'm a taco bell freak...enchirito, mexican pizza, taco supremes...must always include sour cream

    - what is your go to restaurant for that special get together?

its either Stonefire Grill (that garlic lemon chicken is heaven) or Red Lobster

    - Gatorade or Powerade?

    Powerade

    - what to you find the most annoying thing people do at the gym?

not wiping equipment down after their sets. i dont even care of they take their time, i respect people's pace but wipe up after yourself, we're all adults here.

    - do you shower at the gym or at home instead?

i do a super wipe down then shower immediately when i get home

    - how many suits do you own?

i've got 3: the interview suit, the wedding suit, and the power dinner suit

    - do you coordinate your ensemble?

yes, it pretty much takes me an hour to figure it all out, trying all kinds of combinations

    - how do you rate your dance skills?

remember Elaine from Seinfeld? i'm not as good as her

    - is there such a thing as Stripper Etiquette?

for customers? absolutely...i know its a fantasy setting but those are still people...keep your respect at a high level

^Pound... What I meant by Stripper Etiquette is NEVER steal your friend's lap dance away when he already got her attention before you did. As far as what you are or were thinking, they have bouncers for those [grin].

    John,

Best boxing match you've ever seen?

i've seen hundreds of great fights in the 30yrs+ of following boxing. For the longest time, nothing really touched Hagler-Hearns. There were classics like Gatti-Ward, Barrera-Morales, Vasquez-Marquez, Holyfield-Bowe, Chiquita-Carbajal. But the single best fight I've ever seen is hands down Castillo-Corrales. If i ever want to convert a casual fan into a legit fight fan, that's the fight i put on.

Best boxing coach: Steward or Dundee?

i have a lot of respect for both trainers but i'm gonna go with Emmanuel. Not sure how many world champions Dundee has produced but Emmanuel produced around 40 world champions IIRC.

What's the best thing about living in LA? Besides the traffic, what's the worst part?

the best part of living in LA is being able to wear flip flops and shorts during 'winter'. that and the diversity. the worst? clipper fans

You have $1 million to spend in 24 hours. You can't buy anything to take home with you. How do you spend it?

if i can't take it home with me? i guess i'm giving it away. Family, friends, charity. I might have Stonefire Grill cater to all the homeless shelters that night

    Favorite family member? Why?

i love them all dearly and equally but if i had to choose, i would choose my last surviving grandma right now. She's not doing so well and i'd be lying if i said thinking about her doesn't keep me up at night sometimes. I plan on going home in December, my biggest fear is having to come home sooner.

    GC,

Pound's On and Off Work ?'s:

    - have you ever played hooky with work [i.e. called in pretending to be sick, abducted by space aliens...]

when there is a good movie that just came out and i dont wanna deal with a weekend rush, i tend to 'not feel so well and need the day to rest'...ever been to a matinee on a weekday? the theater is allllll yours!

    - what do you find annoying that a co-worker would do?

oh man this is easy; one of my biggest pet peeves are looooong, drawn out e-mail strings. if the point can't be made in 3 e-mails, pick up a phone and call me or use instant messenger.

    - do you leave a few seconds on the kitchen microwave after you heat something?

yes. all the time there's 2secs left on the microwave. those 2 seconds can totally burn something you know

    - in all your years of being employed, have you ever come across a wacky co-worker like a "sirron" type?

Sirron reminds of one of my favorite co-workers named Jay. If you wanted to laugh, find Jay and hang out with him for 10mins. I miss having that guy in the office. The king of dirty jokes and dry sports humor

    - what is the longest you stayed with a company?

this current one bro, 10 years this month. i wasn't really planning on staying here this long. In fact, i just wanted to have some online experience on my resume then move on but, they've treated me very well

    - your personality and sense of humor, did you get that from your mom or your dad?

my humor and discipline came from my pops. my soft side, that's all moms there

    - do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?

i've been told that i've been a bit of an extrovert

    - do you have a go to pick up line? If so, what is it?

    "..dont you owe me money?"

    - do you dig large gatherings or prefer smaller, intimate ones?

i prefer small gatherings among friends. i like the comfort of being within my circle

    - are you a "b.y.o.b." [bring your own beer] proponent?

very much so. most of my friends have jobs so there's no need to drink my beer. everything in my refrigerator and pantry is open for anyone except the beer

    Bonus ?
    - do you organize get-togethers or usually go with someone in your circle who does?

i'm the group organizer. perfect example is my buddy calling me on Monday asking me what im doing on Friday and to 'help' him celebrate. That's homey code for 'let all our goons know to be there'. Same with international trips that we do, i'm the guy that coordinates with the agent and all the friends that are going.

    GC,

Ten more [No Rhyme Or Reason]:

    - in lieu of the psychos your friends have tried to hook you with, who was the worst date?

i kid you not, there was a girl back in the early 2000s that had the IQ of a chia pet. Nice lookin gal but it was the longest dinner i ever had. We had a window seat at some restaurant on Ventura blvd and a gorgeous looking exotic car rolled by. We both marveled at the color. Then i turned to her and asked 'What do you think of fuschia?' She replied, "i've never been there". The rest of the dinner, she talked about hair spray.

    - ever stepped back because a close friend liked the same gal you did?

yes. many times actually. whenever i find out that anyone in my crew likes the same girl as me, i defer. there's too many girls in the world to strain brotherhood.

    - can you ever get involved a gal who checks off just about all the boxes but is a die-hard C***** fan?

i met a girl that was suuuuuuper cool to party and just hang out with. great sense of humor, can poke fun at herself, great personality. she wasn't a C-bags fan but she was a Chargers fan. During the time when they were really good and would sweep us. we couldn't hang out during football season because she liked to talk about her Chargers and their dominance.

    - attempt a game winning shot or a sure fire assist for it?

this Magic fan would drop that dime

    - do you have a hockey jersey?

i had one a long time ago. IIRC, it was a Kelly Hrudey jersey. I've been planning on getting a current one but can't decide between Doughty or Quick.

    - do you see yourself wearing pants with adjustable waistbands someday?

LMAO!!!! i probably would if they were comfy

    - a practical skill you would like to learn and be really good at?

cooking or being a auto mechanic. i've looked into cooking classes at night and might do that with a buddy of mine who recently broke up with his gf. we both need to learn to cook for ourselves. cook healthy

    - a concert or sporting event you regret missing?

Kobe's finale. I should have done everything in my power to have witnessed that. That and the 81 game. My previous job used to give away tickets and i didnt go to that because it was a Sunday night and didnt feel like driving.

    - are you glass half full or glass half empty?

    half empty. always wanting more

    - ever witnessed a food fight [cafeteria, a burger joint...]?

in high school. it was also sloppy joe's day for those that still had meal tickets. what a glorious battle that was.
