I’m pretty convinced having watched as many Thunder games I can, that George would be happier here as the man, than standing around watching Westbrook dribble in OKC. Could be wrong, but I think we have a good shot, and I think if we traded for him this season we’d be winning close games we’re currently losing and he’d see that and take it into account when considering re-signing. We’d have been a playoff team with him.

If we're in the general conversation with the Thunder I would expect it to be a no brainer to come home where PG has his home and play in a much more fun and promising environment where he is the Man.

I don't disagree, but I think it'd be really hard for him to take that leap of faith without someone else in tow. Certainly we as fans and the FO better not count on it. I'd love it, I think we'd be so much more fun to watch, and I agree we'd be a playoff team, but the FO needs to have bigger eyes than that this summer.

I'd also certainly be making trade offers all year on George right now. If there's a chance to get him, let's do it as long as it doesn't cost Ball, Ingram, or Kuzma (I'd also love to hang on to Hart). Having him in hand, we could try to convince him to opt-in to his final year and give us 10 more million to work with.

Moving Randle for Cousins makes perfect sense. But I don't see the Pelicans going for that. I just don't want Randle traded for peanuts. He's got value to us if the FA plan doesn't work out.

Randle's only 22. If we discard him with the lack of respect we are showing him I see him devoting all his training and his motivation and working on his skills ..... all with the passion of how hard he worked physically this summer .... with the goal for the rest of his career to become Great and to beat the **** out of the Lakers every single time they play and compete for anything.

What's a 30-40% better Randle in his prime look like?

Pincus has been defending this take for the last hour or so on Twitter.

Basically he's saying what we're all saying: If Pelicans and Thunder are struggling come February we should be involved trying to trade a Randle/KCP combo for one of them. For what it's worth a NO journalist says that package wouldn't be enough and the Pelicans would take their chances. He says Pincus is underestimating the NOLA ownership and how much they value the money that Davis/Cousins brings in.

God I hope like the 49ers the Lakers can get an All-Star out of left field before the trade deadline. All it takes is for that player/agent to tell the team you might as well get something in return.

It is absolutely the Peilicans decision to trade him before the deadline. They could decide to keep him and if he walks he walks.

Had a nice run before his most recent injury. I don't trust those legs but he would give the Bucks a nice three headed monster in Middleton/Giannis/Jabari.

Don't look now but OKC is in 5th place in the West. As I said, they won't be trading PG before the deadline. That's a pipe dream. We have to hope they get bounced early in the playoffs and PG wants to be the man here. Table is set for him with this young roster looking good.

They might be 5th but I am watching a lot of these games since I've been a long time PG fan. It's sad to see this guy mostly standing around and seeing (after of course a million dribbles of Russ) even Melo get featured a lot more. He doesn't look happy at all and all his postgame interviews ... if you wouldn't know they've won you would guess they just got shot out of the building. So I don't worry about them. They don't stand a chance against GSW, Houston or SA. Even the Wolves are more balanced.

Interesting. I wonder how much truth there is to the last part with George. I'm really not confident today that if the season ended he'd end up a Laker.

But it would be amazing if George signed and then looked around asking which star is joining him here between LeBron and Boogie.

George to the Lakers is the worst kept secret. With OKC struggling the odds of him coming went from 99% to 120%

Were any of them even rumored to come here?

George essentially demanded a trade to the Lakers and we were caught tampering.

Doesn't get more obvious than that from both sides imo.

If he was hell bent on being a Laker, he would be rocking p&g now. We'll see how it goes, i have my doubts.
