Yeah there's no likely trade out there that makes sense for us moving Ingram short of something crazy like AD and I'm not sold we need that to happen.

My main point in that post was to illustrate to people, not a crackpot team, but the reason for urgency from the Lakers. ^^ That is why I want the Lakers to sign two max guys because it gives us a long window of high level competition. The team I created isn't honestly that far fetched, it's just the most optimistic scenario. If we can just do one of shedding Deng without taking salary or trading for George, we are in a position of massive strength not just now but for the next 4-7 years.

TF? Clearly they're not in the know, cause you absolutely do not attach BI in a Deng dump. And if they still want to, then tell them to...

In our 31 Ws, BI has only been a net negative 3 times. Comparatively, Jules has been a net negative 8 times and Zo 5 times.
In our 36 Ls, BI has only been a net positive 2 times. Comparatively, Jules has been a net positive 11 times and Zo 4 times.

Considering BI averages more minutes than both Jules and Zo, BI's impact on our wins and losses can't be emphasized enough.
We're 4-5 in games without BI (4 Ws coming against Indy, a depleted SA and Cavs lineup and tanking Orlando). I'm hoping we get one tonight against GS, but again, depleted.
Injuries aside, as BI goes, so too go the Lakers.

Please tell those couple of guys in your office for me they are full of s***.

We NEED to hang onto Julius, BI, Lonzo, Kuzma and really really hope Hart too.

Am starting to lose faith in my boy Zu that he has to be retained as well. Game after game what happened to those good soft hands to catch the ball well and why is he not playing over the rim more at his height and why is he not showing the "flashes" at least that he can dominate at least once in awhile. That's what a hot 5 years older GF will do for you .....

My intent was to show the causation of a team win reflective of how the individual player performed. So out of 31 wins, BI had a net positive production in 28 of those wins. On the flip side, in 36 losses, BI had a net negative in 34 of those losses. So when BI is good, we usually win. When BI is bad, we usually lose. So there's a strong correlation to BI's impact on team success.

    Hope that clears it up.

If we managed only pg signing....what's your guys things on below ideas?
Danny Green for 2019 chi 2nd
Zu or Bryant/Deng/2019 1st top 3 protected for wes mathews

Both green/mathews are expiring after 18-19 season, both would fit our style of play n give us solid backups at sg/sf...

^^^Good plan C for Danny Green, but Mathews stress fracture puts him a lot lower on my target list. However dumping Deng would be huge so it's hard not to consider it.

Speaking of Danny Green, this Kawhi story keeps getting more and more weirder.

I have some interest in Green, but very little interest in Matthews. I understand he's expiring, but for a loosely protected 1st? No way. Even if we get to dump Deng. That to me would be like including Kuzma or Hart and getting Matthews in return. It's just not a good move.

I would hope we're not a lottery team with pg signing.....we're gona have to give up at least 1st regardless to dump deng at any given pt, even when he expires i feel we'd need to attach something

Top 3 is just too loose in my opinion, especially taking back a deal that's not very good for us. I would hope we're not a lottery team either, but that doesn't mean I want to give Dallas a guaranteed 1st round pick that could end up being high in the lottery if we're hit with some misfortune.

could probably lotto protect it and it might still work. they'd only be taking on a year of salary, and they're notoriously bad in FA.

My only hesitation is his health now both mentally and physically. He apparently (although Danny Green denies this report) says he has a good reason for sitting out. If that reason is an actual injury, that's not good because he's been out far longer than his injury should dictate. If it's mental, that's even worse.

That being said, if he wanted to be here and we could prove he was in good shape and ready to go to war... I wan PG13, Kawhi, and Randle. Holy goodness. That's a great fit and defensively would be utterly dominant.

What are we trading for Kawhi?

Kawhi added to PG makes no sense to me if BI is still here (and he absolutely should be!).

It's redundant and makes us small when our length is one of our strengths.

    Zo
    PG
    BI
    Bron/Jules
    Jules/BLo

    Vs

    Zo
    Kawhi
    PG
    BI
    Jules

For me it's one or the other between PG and Kawhi. Bringing in both and committing 60% of the cap makes it an embarrassment of riches in redundancy when our roster had so many other holes to address.
