As mentioned, it does apply to players. As we have seen, though, it would probably only be enforced if a Laker said it.

I don't think Kawhi will enter free agency, if he's out of Spurs then it'd be them trading him. And knowing how much Buford likes Kuzma.... 1+1=2

The crazy thing about this whole thing is it feels very much unlike the Spurs.

what would you be willing to give up for Leonard? IF we dont sign PG, I wouldn't mind an offer of kuzma, bryant, cavs 1st, 2 of our 1st for Leonard. I'll take the that risk with his injury, PG came back from a nasty leg break so I'd expect Leonard to recover from this quad issue.

One of Ingram/Kuzma, Zu and whatever draft picks it'll take.

The problem isn't necessarily physical though if he's really been cleared. I'm not exactly raring to jump into that mess... I'd have to put him through some vigorous testing to make sure he's healthy.

If he's healthy though, I'm willing to trade them some package around Kuzma, but keep in mind you're trading for an expiring contract. I'm not sure I'm willing to give up a crazy amount even for a guy like Kawhi if he can walk.

well yea they'd would give them all physicals anyways and even though theres the risk, Leonard is worth the risk, same as OKC risked it with PG trade.

Well they gave up one prospect and a guy who'd already been paid. I guess a similar package would be Deng/Kuzma/Cleveland 1st.

    Dream offseason scenario:

    - Trade Ingram/Deng/Cavs 1st for Kawhi
    - Trade Lonzo/Kuzma/S&T Randle for Anthony Davis
    - Sign Paul George with cap space we should still have.

A defensive minded, two-way Big 3 the league has never seen before....:Trophy2:

I like those players and the potential fit, but that leaves the cupboard pretty bare.

Like my stomach would be after

    :Kobepuking:

Edit. Replied too quickly. Was still trying to take in LBJ coming along with PG and then give up everyone as mentioned to add AD.

I wouldn't hurl but damn I would hate like f*** loosing all those guys for that. This is with the understanding of keeping them and adding PG, maybe LBJ and competing for the ring. My wet dream would be swap Leonard for James. Obviously.

If we could play our current bench but somehow pay money enough to some hypothetical fixer that we win a championship next year with Ennis, Bryant, Caruso, Zubac and Payton Jr. to watch .....would you do it?

Where's Glick. Would like his take. But not sure if he's actually a Lakers fan.

True enough, we would be gutting our team for Davis/Kawhi/George. Fortunately if the dream scenario happens, there’s a decent amount of cap space left over to fill out the roster.

The salaries we would have on the books are:
    - Davis (25.4M), Kawhi (20M), George (31M), Hart (1.6M), Zubac (1.6M), Bryant (1.4M) = $80 Mil total

Cap is projected to be at 103Mil so we got approx 23 Mil to spend.

    I would use it on:
    - Marcus Smart (12Milx4 years - he’s restricted and I don’t think Boston matches cuz they have Terry Rozier playing well enough as a backup PG)
    - Brook Lopez or Nerlens Noel (6Milx3 years)
    - Cory Joseph (5milx3 years)
-try to sign one of Illysova/Mo Speights/Amir Johnson and one of Danny Green/Wes Matthews/Arron Afflalo for the minimum.

My personal preference for defense being a priority, the depth chart would be:
    Smart/Joseph
    George/Hart
    Kawhi/Green
    Davis/illysova
    Noel/Zubac/bryant

See. I don't get that at all. But for all of you that feel that way fine. Just understand that there are some of us that take more out the experience of fandom that just that. Like if Kobe between Shaq and our Gasol championships had been traded for Kevin Garnett in order to win those 2 championships. Just trying to make a point. Not comparing any of the young ones to Kobe. And Garnett was indeed a superstar.
