Lowry is a scrub now. Yeah no need to respond to opinions like that. Thanks. Have a good day.

I love Lowry....but his contract will hurt us in a couple of years...he's on the wrong side of 32 and I just don't want to be stuck with him and still suck...

Only way it makes sense is if we're getting Paul George and Jimmy Butler. Otherwise...no thanks.

When you're not on a deep playoff run, and your team sucks, the offseason sure is long and filled with wondrous debate.

I have an idea... back to square one.

    PG: Ball
    SG: Russell
    SF: Ingram
    PF: Randle
    C: Zubac
Bench: Clarkson, Nance, Black, Nwaba, Ellis

I'll roll the dice on Russell and Ingram becoming allstars in 2-3 years. Maybe we can sign George along the way. All the other options are short-sighted, desperate, or just plain suck, to be completely honest.

    Is Ellis Monte Ellis?

and how did you make Mozgov and Deng go poof?

or are you like me, and it just makes you feel better not to type their names out?

    Apologies for the typo... Anus.

As for Dengov, your assessment is accurate. Not worth mentioning.

This. I understand that Lowry is Casper in the playoffs, but ultimately, we want our kids to develop and hopefully make someone like Lowry our 3rd or even 4th option. We wouldn't be signing Lowry to be our savior. Now, if we could somehow snag him on a 3 year deal, then I'm all for it as he'll be a movable asset or come off the books as guys like DLo and Ingram get their next contracts. On a max 4 year deal? I would stay away from that.

We finished pretty strong with most of that group.

And if the guys weren't so fat, we could probably grab a few extra wins.

Pretty sure the days of 20 win seasons are a thing of the past now.

I'd say many would project 35+ wins with the same group, plus Ball, next year. With PG13, minus Julius, JC, and Ball? Probably 35+ wins.

Some truly eye-opening quotes in there from Ujiri who seems like a really sharp guy. I think it's very likely at this point that Kyle Lowry explores the FA market strongly. It seems to me he's not enamored with the coaching over there and the Raptors seem pragmatic enough to realize they're not working as is. Ujiri said flat out that they won't be keeping all their FAs. We'll see if they feel up to offering Lowry that 5 year deal or if they decide to just let him walk, let Ibaka walk, and then blow the thing up more from there.

Don't want either Derozan or Lowry with their loser "we can never overcome Lebron" mentality. Pathetic.

I mean, is it a bad attitude or is it simply them being honest with themselves? :D

I would like to win the lottery, but I know I can't realistically overcome the odds.

They can't be saying that weak s*** during the playoffs as the leaders of a team. I also recall Derozan saying that he didn't want to become a Laker because he'd always be overshadowed by Kobe's legacy. Lack of competitiveness much? Do you want that loser mentality rubbing off on our kids? Our best player and leader throwing in the towel?

i wouldn't. ball won't have that kind of impact. factoring in how useless randle, clarkson, and likely ball will be defensively, PG himself would probably impact the win column to a greater degree.

    1. i actually don't mind the realism from derozan. it's not like he's not competitive.
    2. rubbing off on what kids? i'm guessing if derozan comes, most will be gone. and to flip the script a bit: i don't want young players who are that impressionable. if playing with someone who is mentally weak (debatable, but i'll grant it for argument's sake) rubs off on you, then you're mentally weak.

We won 26 games with injuries and 20 games of tanking. With half of our roster likely to improve from natural progression, we'll win more games.

In fact, I'd be willing to bet you $100 right now, barring injuries, we'd win 35 games next year. TIA for the easy money.

It's called building a winning culture. I don't even have to comment on this. Just witness what the Raptors are going through.

Ball is the game changer. I am sooo confident in his abilities. Too bad he isn't a stock.

    This kid is IT!
