I'm not sure what it would/could be to affect the trade. I'd trade the pick as soon as the lottery happens and we know what's what.

    Lakers Trade
    Mozgov + Top 3 Pick

    Dallas Trades
Re-Signed Nerlens Noel at 15M, 4 years, 4.5% raises. It would be a four year, $64M deal, so he may not go for it (might have to increase that salary), but it would give Dallas a few nice pieces.

Actually saw a sat that said Noel has a pretty poor reb rate % for his position

He's not a very good rebounder, but he's still at 10 per 36 in his career and at 11.4 per 36 with Dallas.

For comparison: Randle's Rebound Rate has been between 16.4 and 19.5 overall, and 25.9 to 32.0 on defense. Nerlens's are 14.8-18.4 and 21.5-25.0. He's only a slightly worse rebounder than Randle, in other words. NN's defensive BPM is +3.4, whiles Randle's is -0.2, for context.

    Zubac's TRB% is 14.2, his DRB% is 21.8, and his DBPM is -2.7.

Long story short: Noel is a huge upgrade on D, he's a better rebounder than our current Center, and he's almost as good as our "elite" rebounding PF.

Completely random but I am watching the game and imagine if we had Klay Thompson... would be pretty much the perfect player for us fit-wise

Could happen, gsw luxury tax could be exponentially huge once curry gets his super max with durant salary and draymond. They might not be able to afford to keep iggy this off season either

During the week I think Ireland brought this up as an idea.

I actually looked up his stats a couple days ago. Despite adding Durant, his numbers appear to have actually improved slightly. I expected a slight drop at least.

I'm not saying I want him, but Derrick Rose just had season-ending knee surgery. What kind of contract is anyone going to give him? No three, lots of injuries, not much D, and mostly disgruntled.

Nets could play him some short term salary just so they have some "star" relevancy

We really need someone who is an ideal role model for these kids. And I don't mean just a good teammate. I mean someone with the skills for them to look up to. One all-star could really help turn this team around. There's really no leadership and also no sense of teamwork. Recipe for disaster - as they don't do it as a group, and they don't have anyone who consistently elevates his game.

Trodgers...trading that top 3 pick for Nerlens Noel would be one of the dumbest moves of all time. There's absolutely no need to dump the pick just so we can get rid of Mozgov. We need to stop throwing good money after bad and just take the loss on Deng/Mozgov. Nobody is going to take them, and shipping out valuable picks to get rid of them is stupid.

IF we keep our top 3 pick...we should be trying to land Jimmy Butler or Paul George with the pick...or BOTH with the top 3 pick and 2 of our young studs (Probably some combo of Clarkson, Nance, Randle, Zu, Black, etc).

or you bite the bullet and trade Ingram for George and the top 3 pick for Butler...and keep everyone else.

    Russell
    Butler
    George
    Randle
    Zu

    bench:
    Black
    Nance
    Nwaba
    Clarkson
    Ennis

    Others:
    Mozgov
    T-Rob
    Deng
    Young

I don't think we need to move the top 3 to get George, and we aren't getting Butler. The team I suggested has plenty of $$, and is already a playoff team. I'm interested in better plans, but I don't see any suggestions. And I don't agree that making a playoff team with cap space is a bad use of a top 3 pick. Seems awesome to me.

Those trades don't work, salary wise.

I think the best trade isn't in the off season but in season when desperation of disgruntled stars threaten to leave, so I would say don't trade till the trade deadline nears. Best scenario is keep our pick draft a star pg in ball or fultz then go after pg13 during the trade deadline

Any way we can renegotiate Deng's deal and give him a raise?
