And if LeBron likes you, you are Lonzo.

Lebron sure gave Randle props after the game when Randle had a career high and game last year when the Cavs came to Staples.

That's not why Randle isn't here.

The Lakers have transparently coveted their cap space because it's pretty clear they have inside knowledge there's players who will take it. Whether that's Davis, Durant, Kawhi, whomever they value that space. Considering they got LeBron, I'm not at all adverse to their strategy.

I sure hope so. That would be the only scenario where this makes sense. Otherwise we'd be signing another slew of 1-year contracts for scrubs while Randle turns into an allstar.

The PF/C situation in New Orleans is quite fluid. Mirotic and Davis aren't known for their durability either.

It's a contract year. I don't understand why he doesn't look like he wants to get paid.

His athleticism isn't good; it's not bad, but it's not good. If he's going to feel 100% every night, he has to really work on increasing the quality of his movement patterns. I just think he plays worn down physically sometimes becuase he doesn't move well. Watch his knees come together on jump shots sometimes. That's not a healthy pattern.

He has added some strength, but if he's adding mass and strength to broken movement pattern, he'll keep breaking down. He does look better than he did last year (I mean physically), so we'll see what happens. I'm hopeful, but I'm enjoying watching next to no basketball. More free time :)

His stats are regressing to the mean of his career again....15/4/5 on 41% shooting...at least the Nets are 5-6 which isn't too bad. Right now Caris LeVert looks like he might be the better prospect.

With D'Angelo its the same as with Ball...the problem isn't that they suck. The problem is they are worse than most people's expectations.

Being a solid role player simply isn't what was expected of him. I don't care about any particular strength or weakness. When you are advertised as a star or a superstar and you end up being a 25 mpg role player with middle of the road production, you are a let down.

It could be worse. You could be comparing him to LiAngelo Ball

LOL. Well if LiAngelo would average those numbers, he would be a sensation.

The same way expectations are high for Russell and Ball...the same way expectations for L'Angelo are ZERO. So if he even makes the NBA he is considered a surprise.

He hit nine triples. 31-6. So, 40.5% on threes this season is nice. With the awful injury to CLV, he’ll have a shot at 30 mpg.

He has a nice four-game streak going. 22&7, good shooting. 10 dimes, 1 to today.

This thread for people who have a hard time letting go of players past? If so, I’ll be in the Randle thread occasionally.

But I don’t understand missing this guy

Love the hard-hitting analysis. There’s a Randle thread just below. Do you, man.

He has been in rhythem lately. Pretty good numbers the last 5 or so games...

The defense is still shaky. The 3 ball has been falling. I always felt he was a better shooter than his numbers suggested because he is awful at consistency. But he is hitting 3s at a 40% clip which is pretty good.

It’s not saying much, but he’s probably playing the best d of his nba career right now. Nets fans seeing the d is solid.
