The last five MIPs averaged 14-5-3 the year before winning and 21-6-4 the year they won. Aside from McCollum, all four were as good or better than these two young guys.

Last year both dudes were at 16-5-4. It’s totally possible. I have DAR at 20.5 PPG this season. Haven’t projected BI yet.

That's Russell; I was speaking off the cuff...

    Ingram: 17.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists

I could see him scoring a bit more, but that's a projection, not a prediction.

Ingram is tough to project because he may be asked to be more of a scorer.

    His points per 48 minutes:
    Last year: 23.1
    At SF: 24.7
14 games leading up to injury last year: 26.1
    Preseason: 32.4

My projections have him at 25 per 48, which could be a bit of an undervaluing.

I just saw above where you already said this below and then followed with Russell again. I could see B.I. at 20 or more if he stays healthy.

Russell doesn't have "it". I've been saying this since he was a Laker...the guy will never be an all star, and it looks like Levert or Dinwiddie will be getting crunch time minutes over DAR if he doesn't improve...

He WILL improve...the problem is consistency. He has been like that his whole career...a bunch of good games and stinkers switching back and forth.

You never know what you get on offense, you never know what you get on defense (although he is rather consistently bad on defense) and you never know what kind of effort and attitude you get. Some games he is aggressive and upbeat, other games he is down, has terrible body language and doesn't care.

    Thats Russell in a nutshell.

Shot isn’t there yet from the floor but 35% from three and 91% from the stripe. And he’s 21st in assists, with an ast/to ratio better than 8 guys ahead of him. Was +21 last night. 8 dimes, 1 to.

Okay; I don't know what he was thinking with that pass at the end of the game, and I won't defend it (catch the ball!), but otherwise a good game. 24-5-4, lights out shooting.

25-6-6 on good shooting, but he turned it over a bunch. Still, clutch buckets and a +7 vs Warriors.

His 3 ball has been money this year. Overall he has been pretty good for the Nets.

It always comes with the caveat good stats on a crap team but so be it. For him, its progress because he used to have bad numbers on a bad team.

Does he still do the "ice" injection in his vein on clutch big shots?

the turnovers REALLY frustrated me when he was a laker. so many of them were just lazy/stupid plays.

    I dont miss him.
    Or Nance.
    Or Lou.
    Or Swaggy P.
Or pretty much anyone who doesnt play for the Lakers anymore.

I guess I’m heartless, but it’s good to keep tabs to see if trades turned out in our favor.

I don’t think Lebron liked him. If Lebron doesn’t like you, you’re gonzo.
