Do you guys expect Cousins to stick with the Pelicans? Or do you think there is some off chance we could possibly try to get him this upcoming summer.

I think he stays but they won't be able to put together a respectable team around the new twin towers.

It is literally impossible to understand what goes on in Cousins's head. He is a basket case.

I think ultimately he stays and the relationship gets tumultuous and it falls apart.

i've said this in other threads--i think if the lakers are patient, they can wait for guys to sign big deals and then demand out. by that time, it won't cost ingram and russell anymore.

i'd still have to decide whether i wanted cousins. i'm not sure i've ever seen that kind of talent/personality mismatch. i know the classic cases are roy tarpley or even derrick coleman, but cousins is sort of next-level in terms of otherworldly physical gifts and cripplingly bad mental makeup.

as for whether it can work in NO...should be interesting. not fair to judge based on the first game they ever played, against high octane offense built to run big teams out of the gym. on paper, you couldn't put two better, more complimentary skillsets at the big spots. and holiday is more than serviceable at pg (though never healthy). they need some wings that can defend and some time to play together before they're written off.

Too soon to tell, but not a lot of people are banking on him being a champion. He needs a stable situation with strong leadership and a solid team.

Is NO that? I'm not so sure...

Almost 60 points and 30 boards in a 30 point loss? One gave vs Houston, but it's been said that other teams wouldn't take Cousins for free.

I would still take Cousins in a heart beat in free agency "for free".

This to me is sort of a nail in the coffin of "if he's in another environment, he'll improve".

Here he is in another environment and nothing changed at all. My interest in him is waning quickly. Maybe his attitude changes when he's in a place he wants to be, but am I taking that chance with a max contract? Probably not.

You don't need your strongest personality in the locker room to be an ahole, especially when you lack strong leaders. Despite his talent, I think it would be a colossal mistake to go after him versus develop a guy like Zubac.
