Lets be real , Lonzo is the only one guaranteed to be here next year out of that group.
your blood pressure is shooting up LT
Management has consistently said Ingram was off limits too.
0 chance of Ingram being traded.
My bad guys i was skimming... Aside from Lonzo AND Ingram, none of those other guys are a guarantee.
Randle is already a monster and going to be even more so. I don't trade him either. He is stronger faster than almost anyone. Also has this mean streak I like. We need tough. I want to see what he becomes and I want him to be a Laker..
I'd like to see what he can become too, but these facts remain:
He's been mediocre on defense
His offensive arsenal is limited
He struggles against length as an undersized power forward
If you can replace him with a bona fide star, you don't hesitate to do so. Proven talent over dwindling potential every day all day
Jerry West never liked him
But!!!!!! The current topic was who is off limits. Currently that includes Ball and Ingram. Everyone else can be moved for the right piece(s)
If we're being realistic. Randle hasn't proven to be immovable. Yet.
Looking ripped and talent isn't Randle's issue. It's his focus. His focus has sucked for 2 years. Double doubles or not, if he shows he can not effect the game for 82 nights for 6 months, he will be out faster than Jordan Clarkson setting club reservations during the last commercial breaks in the 4th quarters.
I have faith we will see the focus improve greatly. Because Magic Johnson is now running the show and definitely has his attention. 6.5% body you want? ....check! Luke said he was staying in front of guards at practice. Moving into brand new facility with an about to become resurgent, new age for the Lakers. None of this is lost on these guys. I'm sure Magic has said to him point blank he needed to improve his consistency and his focus. Whatever words he used for that. We'll know soon enough what we have in Julius. We have no idea right now because it would be silly IMO to put a ceiling on what he can become. The new athleticism and endurance and mental boost from the FO may change a lot of things.
I'm looking forward to seeing a Magic Johnson motivated Corey Brewer for that matter. All these guys. We have the athletes and we have the size. With a lot of skill on the roster now. Deep even. If Lonzo does his job of helping pull it all together we have a puncher's chance of the playoffs this year. Health willing.
"If I have to motivate you, I will fire you."
Whatever. I'm telling you how Randle now, as an intelligent person, even if to date not consistently "focussed" on a basketball floor, when being gassed is tossed in ..... is logically probably looking at his situation now this way in the most important year of his career and basketball life. Wouldn't you think? Look how he fixed the physical side already .... the most brutal part of the transformation. We all agree he's a bright guy. My money is on his focus gets a lot better with Magic here now. Chuck Noll never coached basketball.
Don't whatever me, boy! I will cut you!
Who are you calling "boy"?
That guy over there.
That's what I thought.
"Mike bit Evander's ear .... I'll chew on your juggler Kobe you keep elbowing me!"
