Actually Ingram has spoken pretty highly of Deng, but I'm not sure that I've read specific examples of why.

I said I wasn't expecting much but, but glad he's on the squad. We always knew he played hard, he's had a good motor since college. It has to be contagious on some level

+15 in 12 minutes, led the team in assists. Changed the game while hitting only one shot.

I really like him, he plays his a** off, he mostly plays smart, and he makes it so Deng never has to play. Most of all he actually appears to have made himself a good teammate already and is the type of player to set an example by hustling that other guys will at least sometimes follow.

He made two bad plays in a row, and then he ended up with a steal and a beautiful lob for a dunk (Nancy Pants). That kind of hustle makes up for the mistakes that inevitably happen.

...surprising about the assists stat considering Brewer looks like a turnover in the making when dribbling.

Brewer is an intangibles guy. He's not very skilled, but he makes up for it by doing a lot of the other little things on the court.

Glad he's on the team next year (if not moved); Him and Nwaba are perfect end 14th and 15th players on a roster, IMO.

It's like someone knew that they'd be better for us than Calderon and Huertas. Who knew!?

He's the same age as Deng. Think about that for a second.

Watching Deng play there is no possible way he is actually 31. 36? Sure. 37-45? I'd believe that too. He moves like he's in his late 30s to early/mid 40s.

Brew and his slashing ability shows he's still got plenty in the tank. But Deng was so pedestrian all season it was so disappointing.
