Our organization needs some stability so Luke shouldn't be fired now .

He's working on his glaring weaknesses right now ( starting the right PF/C combo , staggering Lonzo ect ) so hopefully our 2nd part of the season will be much better .

Tada isn't wrong though , overall a step forward was expected with the addition of two veterans, Lonzo ( even if he's a rookie ) and BI 2nd season.

Anything less than a 17-25 record for the remaining games won't cut it

That is not happening. Unless the wheels fall off with injuries again the rest of the season will look a lot better in the wins column. Yeah I said it.

I'm a little concerned for the latter. I could see us trading Clarkson and Randle for picks and then try to swing those picks in a Deng dump. Would it be the worst decision? If excuted properly, no. But we'd be toast next year if no one signs with us.

It's like you don't believe in such off the wall stuff but like with that whack job rapper or groupie who puts curses on NBA players he gets pissed at ..... you kind of look at it sideways.

I think Randle's looked good as a starting 4. Much better fit so far than Nance and better for Lopez than Kuz was. I like it. Plus he can still play minutes at small ball 5 as well. As long as he continues to play well I see no reason for Luke to change it.

Windhorst says that there's open speculation that Lavar is right and the Lakers don't support Luke Walton. Windhorst further posits that the Lakers are looking at (*cough*toldyou*cough*) Fizdale as a possible replacement because LeBron is Fizdale's guy. Windhorst says that he's heard from executives and agents that the Lakers are going to look at Fizdale.

Keep in mind that Windhorst is LeBron's mouthpiece. Keep in mind that Fizdale is one of LeBron's guys. Connect the dots as you will.

    My message to Windhorst:

If this was even remotely possible why is our owner of all people tweeting support for Luke and our recent play.

    Take That For Dots!

I like Windy and I think he's for sure echoing something from Bron's camp. Still, I doubt Luke gets fired this season and if anything we bring that option to free agents when we sit with them at the table during the summer.

If Brony, Georgie or Boogie want another coach, then heck, sorry Kuz, but you know Zo won't have a problem.

And cue the Luke haters, in 3...2..

thats what i was advocating for...OPTIONS, luke hasnt done enough to "deserve" another yr, he needs to earn it by coaching this team to show more than what we seen so far

^^^But thats exactly with the #2018planners are saying as well. You gain a whole lot more options. If MozDeng were still on the roster taking up nearly 40% of the cap, your options would be severely limited.

Ugh, I strongly dislike Windhorst. I hate the idea of LeBron dictating who our next coach is as well.

I don't mind if our FO looks into Fizdale at all. Remember that Jeannie wasn't consulted about the Walton hire, and Walton has to prove himself as much as anyone else on our roster to Magic and Rob. He's not going to get to continue just because he's already here. I like Luke to some extent but I have had my doubts about his future at times. I don't think he will or should be fired this year, but all bets are off going forward after that.

I actually like Fizdale anyway regardless of LeBron, but I hope we don't fire Luke just to hire Fizdale so that we have a stronger pitch to LeBron. I want to hire Fizdale only if he's got a plan for making us better.

I'd love to bring Fizdale on as a lead assistant if we back up the Brinks truck for him. He's got a good defensive mind-set.
