Why discredit Walton at all? He's already done better with a team LeBron just joined than either Miami or Cleveland did at the same point.

Well we'll see. But Luke's not the players out there missing open shots and open layups and free throws and turning the ball over because of sloppy or over aggressive mustard passes LeBron included. Nor starting the season with no good plan for back up big man center. Nor the suspensions. We could easily have 4-5 more wins and less losses without those factors, putting us in first place with a team still freaking adjusting to LBJ. And jumping to 8th in defense or whatever it is once the FO took care of their f***up with a back up BIG. And you'd sit there and still ***** with us in first by 3 games from your armchair because he doesn't meet your standards with polished Xs and Os at this stage of the season.

i'm discrediting them BOTH equally as "good" head coaches and give neither Walton or Brown ANY credit for GSW success when they were in their respective roles as Kerr replacement

I got what your post is about, but you’re taking as if your criticism of Luke is unique. You have to put things in perspective Vs. the rest of the league. Every team’s fans think their coach sucks at X. Whatever X is for that team.

So is it that Luke is unique in how bad he is as a coach, or is it more likely that he sucks at some things, just like all coaches have flaws? They maintain their jobs and win because they are good at other things you’re not acknowledging. That’s not claiming Luke isn’t bad at some things, but he seems to be really good at other things, like getting players to buy in to team play, enthusiasm for his vision, and defense.

To be honest Barnstable, I don't really care what other fans think about their respective coaches. They can be good bad or otherwise. I only care about the Lakers and our coach. I think he has not shown us that he's a championship caliber coach. I know that guys like Kerr and Pop are. But again, I don't really care if their fans are ripping on them. I also don't care if I'm being unique or not. I'm just giving my critique of Luke as others here have done. I think I've been fair in giving him 20 games before doing so. I don't like what I'm seeing. You may. These are our opinions.

I personally think Luke is going to have demonstrate just how good he really is this year or he's going to get canned. We shall see.

Exaggeration. Hugely reworked roster, all the other factors you just blew past for why we couldn't conceivably be 3 games in front of everyone if hadn't happened at start of the season. A coach that players want to play for. Enjoy your b*******.

It's a cutthroat results oriented, keep the stars happy, keep the fans in the seats, tough tough game.

Last year the Coach of the Year got fired, so basically anything is possible. I think that the front office will either look at results and feel like Luke is not the right guy, or that we've found our Jerry Sloan 20+ year coach for the long haul.

I hope we experience success, player growth, and it's the latter. Not much fun going through coaches.

The only reason I referred to your post at all was because you mentioned mine. I don't begrudge you having an opinion about Luke.

My opinion is that all these criticisms about Luke, yours included, while valid, are just normal complaints fans always have about their coach. There's always something to complain about, ie... the grass is always greener...

    Duh... Dimwit.

That second quarter lineup nearly killed me (and our chances). WTH? Ingram was out at 6 minutes mark in the 1st. You know he isn't coming back so even his "PG" skills aren't available. WTF are you doing playing both Zo and LeBron 12 minutes of the 1st and then SIT THEM BOTH to start the 2nd?

How stupid are you? I mean, a dumb one-eyed cat could have seen it coming with the lineup of Lance, KCP, Svi, ???, McGee.

    What in the actual f***?

We are winning games in-spite of the dimwit. This game just solidified this for me. He had no f***ing clue.

Obviously if anyone was coaching besides Luke, we’d be 14-0 right now. Byron Scott would have us 82-0 for the season

D'Antoni would have us scoring 200 ppg.

Mike Brown would have us giving up 0 ppg.

Just wish he doesn't run the lineup of

    KCP
    Stephenson
    Svi
    Beasley
    McGee

on the court ever again. That was so hard to watch I almost threw up in my mouth.
