Woj says talks have restarted with Melo to Houston. But says the same problems are there: nobody wants to take on Ryan Anderson to help the Rockets get Carmelo. Eventually the Rockets will have to attach a handful of picks to Anderson which will help set the price for Deng.
have someone forcing their way to your team who doesn't have kevin pritchard as their gm? if i'm ny, i say: eric gordon, capela, and an unprotected 1st. stuff ryan anderson up your a**.
I agree and I think that's exactly what's happening. Woj says explicitly that there's zero trade between the two teams. Houston is desperately looking for a 3rd party willing to facilitate and obviously they're having a hard time doing it. When they find someone, we'll get to see the price of dumping a bad deal in order to make a good team great. Part of me hopes the price is just an unprotected 1st. That means we can get rid of Deng for just one pick.
