Yes, he shouldn't be playing contact sports due to the increased chances of bleeding.

Thankfully, he should have more than enough time to be off of the blood thinners before beginning to play basketball next year.

This is Lebrons fault, and we all know it.

I expect this crap from Ball to avoid getting traded, but dang BI. Is this real life?

my god, this team just cannot catch a break with injuries the last several years

and its been even worse with ball, ingram, and kuzma. right when they start consistently playing well they get hurt

Can we write off this season? Just do it over next season? Minus the one-year vets of course.

Horrible, just horrible, this is the worst season I can remember as a Lakers fan. Even the 17 win season you kind of expected it and only watched to see the kids’ development. This one I expected to make the playoffs, now we’ve got things like this. I hope BI will be alright, that’s all, I hope he has a long career, with us or elsewhere and that this is a blip in that.

not to be all selfish and stuff (this sucks for ingram more than lakers fans), but man...this could have far-reaching implications for the franchise if he's bosh-ed.

I somehow feel we might be rebuilding a bit longer then expected ... just a gut feeling. You really think anyone trades value for BI with this matter at hand?

I have a buddy who was on blood thinners. They keep you from clotting properly. A small nick in the digestive track can cause you to crap blood for weeks. Graphic, but blood thinners are no joke.

There are drugs that reverse the effects of blood thinners in the setting of uncontrolled bleeding. It's a consideration to go with particular type of blood thinners if a patient has a previous history of this.

BI will be in great hands for treatment by the UCLA doctors.

Are there blood thinners and you can buy on the open market that are not traceable in the bloodstream?

If for example, a star athlete was stabbed, how long would it take for them to bleed out?

    Asking for a friend.

This is incredibly unfortunate - just put the basketball stuff to the side and come from a life perspective. He's a very young man, and I hope he's getting world class treat from the best available physicians that can treat this medical condition successfully. I hope the very best for him. He's a quality young man.

    Get well, BI...

Isn’t it the same health issue that caused the rookie in Philly to forget how to shoot?

If it is, glad they caught it before it became an issue. He was playing his best ball.

I don't know about this but it looks convenient to remove our second best player when it was clear we aren't making the playoffs

we don't know if it's bosh-level, but it's bosh-relevant in that both involve clotting issues. from what i've read, it's possible ingram's isn't as serious--but it's not impossible that it ends up the same.

    it's a bummer, for sure.

Stick a fork in BI's trade value as well...nobody going to touch him now.

I hope he's OK as a human being first and foremost but holy crap our luck must be really really bad if s*** like this is coming up...

What a shame that BI had this happen to him rgiht after he was playing the best ball of hsi career

    The Buss curse is real.

Sell the damn team before we are on Cleveland level.
