Doris is so hot.
Go look at Tayshaun Prince numbers.
Seriously I feel like you guys are really underestimating Tayshaun. Ingram's numbers last year were pretty much Tayshaun.
Imho, final package will be Kuz/Hart...take it or leave it.
Edit: Btw, Prince was absolutely necessary in that Detroit championship run. His defense was amazing balls. I'm with Real on this one in that if BI's floor is Tayshaun, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Like just for a Scott Pilgrim gif.
Tayshaun was very good in his prime. He was one of our misses in the draft. I forget who we drafted instead of him. But, Tayshaun at his best was about 75% of what I'm convinced BI's floor is going to be for a long career ahead.
I’m just gonna put this here...
w/o p**** p, ingram is that much more important to keep....leonard n bi demeanor are quite comparable n bi can learn alot from leonard
We got Kareem Rush from Toronto a few picks before Tayshaun.
You had to bring that up now?
Hey, his threes in the Minny series did help GET us to the 2004 Finals...where we got beat down. I still blame Malone’s injury though, we were doing well until Slava had to step in and be relied on.
I’m not underestimating Tayshaun at all. I know what he was. He was a great wing/post defender. He had great lateral quickness and good recovery after being beat. He also had great length, the same length as Ingram. I don’t take that away from him. He’s definitely a Hall of Famer imo. If BI can realistically become Tayshaun defensively than I’ll be good with that. I just don’t believe Ingram is Tayshaun.
And herein lies the issue I have with this comparison. Tayshaun’s peak is what Ingram was in his second year and he never scored higher than 14 his entire career. Tayshaun played differently than Ingram and vice versa. Tayshaun’s career high was 34. Ingram’s career high was 32 in his second year. Ingram’s scoring is already better than Tayshaun’s so that comparison is a letdown to me. If you said his defensive floor is Tayshaun, as I said I’d be okay with that, but otherwise no?
2002, that was the year we got Kareem Rush I believe.
Yeah she's a cool gal and has something besides the classic pretty face look going on.
It doesn't mean Doris is right, but it echo's what I've been saying and a few others on this board.
Edit: Just saw the title of the video... lmao
You tell'um @Weezy
Good distinction between Tayshaun's offense and defense. BI is already more effective on offense and is still improving. Tayshaun was at his best a third or fourth option. BI is going to be a strong 2nd option to LeBron this year, and has real 1st option potential down the road.
I honestly don't recall Prince doing the same facilitating that Ingram did. He wasn't as much of slasher that Ingam is now but better defensively though there's no reason the latter can't match or surpass him. IMO, Ingram has more balanced game overall than Prince.
Granger was very good scorer and much stronger in that department by comparison. Solid player. Decent defensively but his court vision isn't as good.
Leonard? Ingram has ways to go before reaching that elite status. Ingram is a jack of all trades master of none (yet).
wait...we're back to my rich man's prince comparison? s***, i got murdered for that.
i think he's got a little more offensively already (prince was never a threat to beat someone off the dribble in isolation) but isn't there yet on defense.
don't see the odom comparison. really different games, imo. odom was a fantastic rebounder, and ingram's been pretty meh in that department. odom could also capably defend in the paint. but odom could never shoot.
he's really a skinny kawhi starter kit at this point. but kawhi made CRAZY strides in first three years. ingram did it once. will he do it a couple more times? that's what rob and magic have to figure out during trade negotiations. improvement like leonard's is very uncommon.
Well when everyone kills me after a 25 point game from Ingram, you and me can high five about the comparison. Everyone is taking the argument against me anyway so I give up. I'll wait for everyone to smugly tell me how wrong I was.
@Savory Griddles is already drafting some posts.
Ingram has similarities with the players you used just not extensive. He seems to be more or less in some areas. Ingram becomes Leonard Lite...it's all good.
Everyone already forgot I said he could be Kawhi, so whatever.
I'm being aggreggated on our own site!
Actually, both have the same well rounded floor game. I think it's reasonable.
