Wilbon has been hating on Russ all season. When he was benched Wilbon defended B0ron and said he should be benched because he hasn't earned anything and almost echoed B0ron saying something like the wood will talk to his behind. It was a total joke. B0ron was a completely out of touch old school coach and Wilbon stood up for him and his practices like he was his own brother. He clearly didn't watch any Lakers games like most of ESPN talking heads either, as all he and they do is crap on our young guys and say they're nothing special. Why he hates Russ specifically so much, I don't know, I got the feeling he thinks he's entitled and maybe the snitching nonsense.

What's this, our head coach speaking good things about our young players? Nonsense.

    SI's grade on our pick:

    Los Angeles Lakers: A

Here's what I wrote about Ingran in my final mock: "Ingram's my favorite player in the draft. He looks like he weighs 150 pounds, but he plays bigger, and he was fearless for Duke last year. All the typical draft buzzwords apply to his place in the top two—he's got a freakish wingspan (7'3), three-point range, the ability to play multiple positions and tons of upside—but I like Ingram for his intangibles as much as anything. He played his tail off against bigger players all year long, he got better as the season unfolded, and by the end he was clearly the best player on Duke's team at 18 years old. The Lakers are apparently settled on Ingram, and L.A. fans should be thrilled."

The Lakers will get plenty of attention as next year approaches, but the night got so chaotic that you may have missed L.A. getting a new franchise player who pairs perfectly with D'Angelo Russell, fits exactly where the NBA is headed and should thrive in Luke Walton's offense. There are bigger stories tonight, but when we look back on this draft, Ingram may loom larger than almost any of them.

Cold. But he does look like Jack Skellington with that suit. Can't wait for him to battle Ogie Boogie Cousins...

He should rather spend time in In-N-Out.

Ingram doesn't line the ball up over his center of gravity. It is to the side a bit. Noticed that in a side by side comparison with Durant. Don't know how much it matters.

Steph Curry does that too sometimes. That probably shows how much it matters.

As Plaschke said today: Ingram's shot has a specific feature that the Lakers desperately need....it goes in.

I don't know about that. There are a bunch of images that show this difference.
