I must admit, I'm an unabashed sneaker fanatic. I've already spent faaaaaaaar more money than I should have on sneakers in my life. Like most, I was into Air Jordans growing up (I'm 32), and in my 20's I was obsessed with Kobe's (duh).

Here are a few of my favorite kicks from my collection:

Please feel free to post some of your collection as well. Any opinions on the best shoes to ball in?

Here are the shoes I recently ordered:

As for my likes, I wear Chucks, Kobe's, and occasionally some Jordans. That's it. That's the list!

I like to go Nordstrom Rack and find a nice shoe from 3 years ago that's slightly irregular and 50% off!

I may or may not have. Who's asking? :Crazyartest:

I was living in England at the time and only ordered 1 pair, but they sent me 2 and charged me for 2. Sent to the wrong address. I tried them on, realized the error of my ways, and spent 30 minutes on the phone with them trying to return the pair I ordered and the 1 I didn't. EastBay has the worst customer service!!! They returned my money after arguing and threatening, but refused to reimburse me the tax I paid.

    I'm old school.

I like Pumas and Adidas, but I'll be damned if I ever pay full price for any shoes

I find most of players signature shoes ugly , Kobe's 11 are nice though and I have a pair of the 08-12 USA edition .

Kyries ( I like the Samurai one) are fine too as his clothing line is .

I am more into B-ball related clothes to do sport or wear in the summer .

    Oh man, those are nooooice.

And the group photo reminded me of a recent addition to my collection I'm pretty obsessed with:

Which one are you in the photo, John?

I also must mention arguably my favorite shoe of my entire childhood, the Air Penny 2:

Since Nike has brought these back in recent years, I'm probably going to have to snag a pair off of eBay for nostalgia sake...also, they're fantastic IMO.

Tall white guy next to Luke.

Those Kobe's you posted were designed by Tinker -- main designer behind the Jordan brand.

Word. Had to call damn near every Foot Locker in SoCal to try and find them with no luck. Almost gave up, then randomly found them on ChampsSports.com of all places. Might be a solid site to find hard-to-get sneakers in the future for your references.

Didn't remember that's what you looked like. There used to be a Members picture thread on CL.

As for shoes. This is all very fascinating to me. I'm not going to knock someone collecting something cause I have a couple collections of my own that most people would think are weird. But I don't get the sneaker thing. I wear OluKai sandals...and Sperry's to work. Basically wearing shoes is one of the banes of my existence.

Grew the beard after retiring from the Air Force

I don't have large collection. I have 3 pairs of expensive Jordan's that I wear and 3 pairs of Kobe (one I just ordered above). And the always cool Chucks.

Yup. Easily my favorite shoes. My son won a raffle for them.

My son probably has about 25 pairs of Jordan's, Kobe's, and KDs. Annnnnnd he never wears any of them. He was on a collecting kicks kick for about 2 years and now wears vans or chucks. He slowly has been selling them lately.

Just got two pairs of leather chucks, one traditional black/white and the other all black. I'm a converse, vans, addidas, puma kinda guy.
