There are 10’s of millions on the line. You show up to work every day thankful you won the genetic lottery, and you work on your skills.

The games are the fun part. You’ve got to be ready to perform when your number is called. If you do, someone is noticing guaranteed. Julius should take pride in the fact others are complaining for him.

We notice it. Mgmt notices it. TNT announcers notice it. His time will come if it’s earned and deserved. But pardon me if I don’t feel that sorry for a lottery pick only pulling down a couple mil while being overpaid for his skill level for 3 years. Hell, we paid him for a year while he sat. He can suck it up and do what’s asked of him a little longer.

If he’s all that, a team will make him a huge offer. It happens every year, and having a crappy attitude only lowers your potential paycheck.

If there is a lot of b****ing and moaning, it just tells me who I’m getting rid of first. I think Randle has handled his role pretty professionally after the first few games. Any others need to follow suit, but also practice dribbling and finishing with both hands.

Our best possible scenario is our home grown talent turning themselves into max level players. We’ve proven we’re willing to pay the right people what they are worth.

We don’t pay whiners. In fact, we ship them out.

I would never have a problem with less effort if the team is tanking. They kinda fixed that so they will not make a mockery out of games. Just a few years...

So we released Bogut. Strange. I guess we’re making room for Cousins.

Yeah, he wants a PO team, and word is (from Woj) that we are looking for more shooting. So, there's that...

Bogut was a Luke roster add, so maybe the FO's patience is wearing thin.

I also think this opens up more trade scenarios due to a roster spot opening up.

In the recent interview with Magic on "Connected With...," it looked like the FO was plugged in to what the fan base thought. They probably know that there are alot of disgruntled fans that perceive the 2max player approach as a failure waiting to happen. Pair that with the players' grievances meeting and I think Mag/Rob are publicly saying that LA will look for a shooter on a 10 day, but are really playing the trade market in private.

At least that is my hope.

So if we had a shot at the 8th seed we would've kept him? Waiving the flag on the season I see...two number two picks and Kuzma not even good enough to be competitive.

I really hope this means a move is coming of any kind to help us out, but who knows. He was a total pro here though, never complained, seemed to be a good vet presence, so I hope he goes to a playoff team like he wants.

Playoffs (may) be obvious but the onus is still to win as many games as possible in the last 2/3 of the season for all the obvious reasons. We're clearly not going to tank like last year(s). So our record may still wind up better.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...st-waivers-center-andrew-bogut-ahead-deadline

The Los Angeles Lakers have requested waivers on center Andrew Bogut, the team announced Saturday.

The Lakers waived Bogut ahead of the deadline, meaning the team would have to guarantee the center's contract for the remainder of the season. The move allows the Lakers roster flexibility to look at other prospects and potential 10-day contracts while giving Bogut the opportunity to join a potential playoff contender.

The Lakers have lost nine straight games and can use more perimeter shooting. Head coach Luke Walton has often praised Bogut for being the team's top defensive communicator and a wise mentor to several of the young players in the Lakers locker room.
