    Yeah, superb mouth-feel.

Have you ever had Russian River's Supplication or Consecration? I haven't, but I plan to soon. They're belgian sours that are really hard to come by.

I don't think so. I think I've heard of Supplication. I'm on Spring Break. I plan on doing some browsing this weekend...I'll see if I can find any other Belgian Sours, but DdB was something I picked up on a whim and loved it. Have had it a few times since.

This Unity Vibration kombucha is fascinating. It smells like vinegar, but it's really tasty. It's sweet - no doubt about that - but it's also sour. I'd recommend trying it.

Red Brick 21st anniversary. Saison aged in rum barrel. 9.5% ABV. Really nice.

"A lightly soured Robust Porter, with Colombian panela (unrefined sugar), aged in Rioja red wine barrels. This yields a rich Porter backbone, strongly influenced by red wine and wood, and restrained sourness like a Flemish Red Ale."
This beer is incredible! It has a little bit of bitter roastyness of a porter, but is mostly dark ripe fruits and belgian candy sugar like a quad, then it morphs into a strong red wine finish. Bizarre and tasty!

Oh yes yes yes! I was skeptical that the vanilla bourbon caramel flavors of a BBA stout would mesh well with some funky tang of sour bacterias, but it was a thing of beauty.

I'm not a big fan of Cismontane. I used to hang out in their tasting room strictly because it was a reasonable drive, but after they let go of Dave, we stopped going.

You're not a fan of their beers or because they are a shady business or something? I didn't realize they were local. I'm gonna check out their tasting room.

This is a really highly rated, and sought-after beer, but I didn't care for it. It is nearly flat and waaaaay too sweet and malty with not enough hops to balance it out.

Didn't like their beers. They are in Santa Margarita.

I have consumed over the past couple weeks many fine beverages to review:

Imperial black&tan, which is an imperial stout mixed with an imperial ipa. The sweetness and roastiness of the stout mixed well with the bitter and fruity hops of the ipa. It's not gimmicky at all. A really great beer.

A nice light, refreshing sour with toffee notes. It's only like 5.5% iirc though.

This sour is way too sweet. It tastes like amaretto, almonds and sour cherries. It's really different and nice, but a tad too sweet.

Well done Sierra Nevada! This one is a home run. $12.99 for this 4 pack @ 10%abv is a steal. It's a really good quad, and the plums really come through.

Just a really nice bourbon barrel aged imperial stout. True to style.

This stuff is flat as Kiera knightly, but the taste is great. Tart, sweet, grassy, and bitter chocolate. Dark sours are really nice.

Absolutely delicious, but not worth the $22 price tag. It tastes of beligian sugar and spices, horsey funk, citus, a little tannic tartness from the red wine. It's very complex.

This one is going to be very polarizing because the chai flavor is very pronounced. Stone's RIS is one of the highest rated imperial stouts out there, so to mess with it by adding so much chai flavor would seem like ruining it to some people. Not me. i love the original, but this is totally different. Imagine mixing half/half chai tea with espresso....that's awesome, right?! It's like $7 and costco carries it right now. Go get one!

Ridiculously good. I think I had this years ago when I was just developing a palate for big craft beers, and it was good. Now I can really appreciate its greatness. most coffee flavored stouts are mostly big bitter and roasty with a touch of coffee. This has big coffee flavor up front that has a sweet creaminess to it, and then stout flavors to follow. By far the best coffee flavored beer I've ever had.

    Sounds yummy.
I like the peanut butter stout, but it's a little thin and watery for my liking. My next home brew is going to be an imperial bourbon chocolate peanut butter stout. I have an imperial stout ingredient kit along with a couple mason jars filled with bourbon, unsweetened cocoa powder and peanut butter extract sitting until my sister in law returns my brewing supplies I leant her. The bourbon mix smells so good! I'll post pics when I'm done.

I'm so glad i forced myself to try to get into sours. This is a phenomenal beer! I don't get much of the cocoa at all, which might be my newbie palate to sours, but there is plenty of malt and leather and oakiness to blend with the very present cherry sourness. Oh, and it's 9%abv, which is rare for sours.
