I would not mind taking Diallo if he's there. Not at all.

I don't know about next Kobe lol

But the guy has been skyrocketing up the mocks. 6'5" with 6'11" wingspan and a 44" vertical. Yikes!

Evans was 6'1. Brown was a three year college player, so he was older entering the draft. I don't think either has the upside potential. That said, neither had a bad career, and if you're taking a guy at the end of the first, they would've been fine picks.

There's little evidence of any other kind of basketball skill, but his athleticism is insanity.

I mean, he's 18. Draft Express lists anticipation on D. The jumper "isn't broken," and the mechanics don't look bad. He just needs (a f*** ton of) reps.

How is he eligible for the draft at 17 without a year of school? Oh my!

Ball and Diallo would be the best scenario that could happen to us. He'll replace jc in the long run

    He's 18. Almost 19.

His shot looks pretty good, but it's not effective right now. Shot about 68% on FTs in high school (after hitting nearly 90% as a freshman). He's grown a lot over the past two years - about five inches and 40 pounds, so maybe he needs to get control of his body a bit more.

Some mocks are showing the Spurs taking him. He and Leonard would be a ridiculous combination. Diallo has the makings of a lockdown defender, and Leonard already is. If they could both score 20-25 and play D, San Antonio would be set.

if the spurs want him, draft him. just a rule. i remember when they grabbed george hill a couple picks ahead of the lakers (who were supposedly going to grab george hill). grrr..

i also remember when they traded george hill for the rights to leonard, and i was like...oh s***, indy just screwed up.

anyway, that diallo guy looks kinda like nick young in the highlights.

Maybe we could shed some money and trade jc to the Spurs for their pick if Diallo is available, since they might need a dynamic guard like jc with Tony's injury history. Then flip our other pick along with let's say Randle and deng (shed more money) for PG-13 once Indiana gets the clear message that George will leave for nothing.

    Ball/ennis
    Dlo/diallo
    P George/brewer
    Ingram/Nance
    Zu/mozgov/black

+ Money for next season to sign someone like DeMarcus etc

A tremendously more athletic Nick - totally agree.

I don't think the Spurs want JC. There are probably only a few players on our team they'd want: Ingram, Russ, Zu, and Randle. Maybe Nwaba, too. Maybe Black, possibly T-Rob. They tend to be able to do things with those sorts of player.

No; he worked out for Boston, New Jersey, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Then he halted his workouts. It sounds like he has a (first round?) guarantee from someone.

Nick DID kill it, at least in jumping. Wow. He looks so pedestrian on the court. Diallo looks like a high school Kobe going to the rim.

Lakers know how to handle this .... just like with Kobe. We make a deal with the team above us to draft the kid and then we trade Moz for him and take back a one year bad salary. Boom, done!
