Something interesting. Last year, the most accurate mock drafts came from:

Scott Smith of Rotoviz (189 points of 320 possible)
Walter C of Walter Football (182 points)
    Evan Silva of Rotoworld (176)
I can't access Rotoviz, so here's the next one on the list (Pressbox's 171), Kevin Hanson (171)

Here's what they have going on for Oakland:

    #4:
    Draft Haskins******
    Draft Haskins******
    Draft Quinnen********
    Draft Quinnen********
-Quinnen Williams would be a great selection here, even if he's an interior defender. He has the makings of a true anchor. I really don't want Haskins.

    #24:
    Draft Greedy Williams*****
    Draft Josh Jacobs*****
    Draft Greedy Williams*****
    Draft Josh Jacobs*****
-Jacobs is a 5-star player, which is excellent. Williams is also a 5-star player. We need both positions, but mocks seem to suggest that a six-star player will be available at 27. So, what if we grab Jacobs here and...

    #27:
    Draft Byron Murphy******
    Draft Justin Layne
    Draft Josh Jacobs*****
    Draft DeAndre Baker******
    --Grab Murphy or Baker here?

We'd come out of the first round with a starting DI, starting RB, and starting DB. We could grab LB with the 35th pick and have addressed nearly all of our needs - just a TE needed. And there are some solid TEs in the draft (see earlier post).

    - I don't like Haskins. Never heard of him until your post but I'll go with it. :) Where's Josh Allen? Keep hearing that Williams is still unpolished and takes plays off. I think we're covered on the inside.

    - Khalil Hodge of Buffalo anyone?

    - Round One: Edge Rusher, Edge Rusher (Tight End if any of the top four are out there), Corner or Safety...

    - Appears to be no worthy runners in this draft.

    - I'd like us to focus on OL depth as the draft goes on.

    - Caleb Wilson...

    - is it April 25th yet? :(

I don’t want Haskins! He’s a qb. It’s who mocks have us taking. I like Allen and Reed. Some good edge rushers.

There are some good RBs. But I’d prefer to take one later. Darrell Henderson is a really interesting dude.

...there was a time whenever Roberts scored, it was an automatic win for the team. I'll never forget that catch and score against Tampa.

    It's almost that time, y'all.

Because Walter Football has one of the most accurate (and the most easily accessible) mock, here's a look at that:

    1.4: Josh Allen DE/OLB Kentucky
    1.24: Josh Jacobs RB Bama
    1.27: Noah Fant TE Iowa
(Would Raiders Nation revolt with two first rounders spent on O?)
    2.4: Greedy Williams CB LSU
    4.4: Corey Ballentine CB Washburn
    5.2: Charles Omenihu DE/DT Texas

Honestly, I'd be super excited with this turnout - keep our QB continuity, address the EDGE, draft the best RB, add a fantastic TE, bolster CB (probably adding a starter), and then get into the trenches.

Three player comparisons for Greedy Williams:
Antoine Cason - seven years in the league, 30 AV, picked off 16 passes, defended 63.

Stephon Gilmore - seven years and counting, two Pro Bowls, one All-Pro, 47 AV, 18 picks, 91 defended passes.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - 11 years in the league, two-time Pro Bowler, 62 career AV, 30 picks, 146 defended.

    I'd be stoked.

I think our defense should be somewhat improved with additions at the line-backing and secondary. If we do get Allen, Key improves and our inside linemen as well, it could be a better overall unit. Jacobs can play right away and we still have Warren...somewhere. Fant is a no brainer though I'd be very happy for Hockenson.

On another note...yes to Carlson as our K. That Townsend guy? Well...if he doesn't get it together, make a pitch to Lechler to unretire and come back?

Agree with all but with two caveats: Piniero May be in the mix for kicking supposing his groin healed. Second, Townsend has wild upside. He also has a low floor. Hoping some work and reps makes him more consistent.

"I know I ain’t no b----a-- motherf---er; so it doesn’t bother me. If they think I am, then we can take it off the court and find out for sure," Lillard told Haynes. "“I’m not out here to prove to these dudes that I’m the hardest mother------ in the league because they cussed at me on the court. But they know where I’m from and what I’m about. This Oakland. But I don't take s--- personal. My goal is to get the win."

Hearing that Washington wants to move up and might be willing to offer this and next year's first rounders.

If I'm Oakland, I see who's available, as trading the 5 for the 15 is a big jump back this year, but if Washington is giving another mid-first rounder for next year, it's a good start.

Fingers crossed we DON'T snag a QB.

    Come on, Mayock!

It's the end of Marshawn Lynch, it seems. I wanted to recap on something I wrote in September of 2017.

    R. Williams
At age 31, he returns to Miami after missing the majority of three of the past four seasons. To that point, Williams had rushed 1763 times for 7112 yards (4.0) and 47 TDs, adding 246 receptions, 1899 yards, and 4 TDs.

He would go on to play four more seasons, rushing 668 times for 2897 yards (4.3), scoring 19 rushing TDs, and adding 96 receptions, 707 yards, and 4 TDs. He finished in his age 34 season.

    M. Lynch
Lynch has carried the ball 2144 times for 9112 yards (4.3) and 74 TDs, meaning he has been more successful on the ground than Williams was before the latter's hiatus. Lynch has also caught 252 passes for 1979 yards and 9 TDs, slightly edging Williams.

Lynch is now 31, so there are some strong parallels here - both are excellent running backs with high mileage and quirky personalities taking a break from their sport and returning at 31. But Lynch has more game mileage on him and is returning from a shorter break.

Williams was pretty successful - averaging about 900 yards from scrimmage for four years, posted a better yards per carry than he did prior to his break, and was still a decent back at 34. I'm hoping Lynch can do at least 1000 yards from scrimmage and 7 or 8 TDs this and next season.

Lynch went on to pile up 1042 yards and 7 TDs in year 1, and then only 460 and 3 in year 2. It's a shame about that groin injury, but these things happen - especially to aging RBs. Heck of a job in his first season in Oakland. Shame we wasted it.

    Everyone's claiming it's a big reach.

Looks like you guys have your own version of Aaron Mintz in Joel Segal; he's the agent of Mack, Cooper, Josh Allen, and Ed Oliver. Must be some bad beef between the Raiders and him.

I don't think everyone is saying it's a big reach. It's a bit of a reach, but so was the QB pick. The agent thing...does sound like an issue, but I'm okay with not getting Allen (plays too high to defend the run right now). Oliver - he seems legit.

#24 pick: Josh Jacobs - best RB in the draft! Pretty pumped about this.
