Or he's going to try to go shot for shot and end up scoring 28 points on 26 shots.

Yeah, Kobe definitely shut down Rubio:

Karma then gave Rubio the powers to destroy the Lakers every time afterwards.

Jeezus they'd call a flagrant 2 on Kobe now for that and suspend him a game in the playoffs. Totally Rubio's fault though with the blocking and Kobe trying to get around him on the outside.

Thibs hasn't had a good defensive team since the Rose-Deng-Noah Bulls team.

I'm so sick of Westbrook. Such a jerk. Throws Rubio to the ground, no call. Gets into it with Gobert from the sidelines. Punk.

And this is the game where we stop saying Westbrook has that Mamba Mentality. Kobe would have gone out there and tried to beat you with basketball, not by being an a******.

...still can't root for Utah but I do like the way they play the game as a cohesive unit. Snyder is a really good coach. Gobert is the linchpin of that defense. ingles facilitated while Rubio was out. Mitchell is the player Jamal Murray wishes he was. They have players like Crowder and Favors who will do the dirty work.

Overall, they still need a competent back-up at the 1 and they have no one who can break a defense down off the dribble besides Mitchell.

Westbrook has the aggression just not the polished scoring and keen court awareness to break down every possession to a science like 24 had.

The main problem is nobody has ever called out Westbrook on his style of play/approach of the game ... like Phil did with Kobe in 04.
