    lol. i think the ranking is almost fair. why does everyone always think denver is about to make a step? they never have. and now they've just paid out the wazoo for a team that finished 9th last year.

    so why are they going to finish 5th in the west? because they signed IT? because jokic and barton now make a combined 40 million per instead of like, 8? i mean, it's basically the same team they had last year except now almost no one is playing for a contract. i do think they have a good coach and some players that fit his philosophy, but they're a borderline playoff team like always.

    and i'd love to drop portland, too, but every year i think they're going to fall off...and they don't. that's what having a superstar scorer and a good coach will do, i guess.

    the west is going to be tough, and the lakers may find themselves scrapping to get in the picture if they start as slow as one might expect (think about how many teams are basically returning their rotations--they tend to start well).

    i wouldn't be shocked with any finish between 3 and 8 in the west. i'd be pretty surprised if a lebron team missed the playoffs, though. and i'll be pretty surprised if denver is the 5th best team in the west.

    It's fair before the beginning of the season. Magic expects to start "slow", and that is going to be normal when you have a team full of new pieces. The goal is get better as the season progresses, build chemistry, etc,.

    Probably looked at the trajectory of his career and saw what happened to Melo and IT (Max to min) seemingly overnight and thought it was best to cash in now and not risk it. Took advantage of a desperate team that can’t afford to lose a “name” player or they will become irrelevant.

    straight up terrible move for both sides in regards to winning....love is content stat padding on a medicore to bad team amd clev needed to keep a "star" this will force clev to hover between being not bad enough to get top picks and not good enough to grt into playoffs or do much in playoffs if they do get there for the next 2-3yrs
