Pretty much. But he is definitely putting in work. Props. If a relevant FA decides to come here, Bron gets the credit. I gave up on our FO, unfortunately.

Talk about some perspective. It most definitely would not be a 12:01 Mozgov. That was a move that will live in infamy. Butler remains my 4th preference, but he would be a great fallback if we strike out on the others.

People are definitely going to be mad about it but I’ll gladly take it. We’ve seen failure of cap space usage multiple times now. Playoff proven all star that can win and takeover games....

Sign me up every time. We still have all our assets, we add another all star asset, it’s a win all around.

Ingram/Ball/Butler on the perimeter with Vogel. Give me that.

Lebron/Butler/Davis trio, give me that too.

    I like those options.

agreed; lebron and vogel are the only ones that can save us now (and kobe), and they must deliver an all-star asset. no more rookies...

Someone's gotta do it and I hear Linda is busy working with Jason Kidd on a workable usurper strategy.

I'd take Jimmy in a New York minute.

    My FA list is:
KD isn't coming and Klay ain't leaving, with that out of the way...
    1) Kawhi
    2) Butler
    3) Kyrie
    4) Kemba
    5) there is no five

We have to get one of those four. We can't afford to waste Bron's window by signing Middleton and a shooter (Bogdan, Brook, Danny, JJ, Ariza, or Wes). That's a failure that should result in Jeanie and Rob handing in their keys.

Kawhi seems like a reach, but he's so... different. No decision he makes will surprise me. Hopefully he really doesn't like being King of the North.

Kawhi and Butler are culture changes (they're not close in talent levels to be clear) . Butler can be a handful, if there's not a strong leadership group in tact both on the court and on the bench. Bron and Vogel qualify though. Butler loves defense, Vogel loves defense. All our kids are hard workers, not like KAT.

I'm growing more and more certain we can have Kyrie if we want him. I think Bron hooked him. But I'd rather address a need, not a position we already are ok at. I don't mind moving Zo, but I don't want to have to move Zo. If that makes sense. I want it to organically make sense in a trade, rather feeling like we have to move him because we just signed a guy at his spot to a max deal. That changes if we can attach Kidd with Zo in a trade. I might settle for a draft pick in that case... kidding, a little. Push comes to shove, I'll take Kyrie over Zo because it'll make Bron happy and he's an all star talent. We're desperate for that level of player. Talent lures talent. Better for our star building program.

Kemba. Same as the Kyrie thing. Redundant position. Would rather address a bigger need. But he's tough and competes. Wouldn't turn him away.

I don’t want to give Butler max, and I don’t think anybody else wants to either.

However, if he did stay healthy, he has shown that he can be productive and effective not being the main guy.

    PS. It’s Lebron’s fault tbh

Couldn’t believe that when I saw it earlier today. I thought he was on vacation, last I heard he said he was taking a week off and a twitter break on one of the podcasts. Dude almost died, so glad he’s seemingly out of the woods now, he’s one of my favorite Lakers writers/podcasters/video guys, online personalities, whatever you want to call him.

After a caller suggested BI, Hart, and 4th to Washington for Beal, Screaming A said Bron has been in contact with Beal and he and the Lakers like him as a 3rd wheel.

I know I’ve said we need to start adding stars, but that seems like a bit much for Beal. That seems more like an AD package to me. The #4 pick should mean we don’t have to give up probably our best young prospect, it should allow for this type of trade to be for like the #4, Kuz and Hart, or have Ingram in it and keep the #4 out of it.

For me it's all about what that team looks like. If you roll out...
    Mcgee
    Bron
    Kawhi
    Beal
    Ball
    6th man: Kuz

In that scenario, who cares if BI, 4th, and Hart are gone. We're getting banners. Can probably get there with Butler, the future isn't as promising and the window remains small.

With Kyrie and Beal, I think we can make noise but defense will be rough. Probably cap at 2nd best in the West. Depends what we get for Ball, cause I really don't see a way forward with both he and Kyrie on the same team.

I mean, yeah, if Kawhi comes here all bets are off, you go all in now, but I guess I’m operating still under the assumption that he’s not. Especially with articles like the one about Pelinka and co coming out today, who the hell wants to jump into business with that?

    Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know AEG has been asked to work on a Kyrie pitch regarding the business side as of last week. Sorry for the delay in reporting this.

    Best,
    Mr. Rambis.
