That's funny and might be true. But if I recall Magic and Rob turned Lou into great return for our roster that we have now with a certain pick or picks and something else?

Dwight Howard to make debut with Wizards on Friday.

Fun thought, the Lakers just need more depth at Center to do exactly what McGee is doing.

Be athletic, run the floor, rebound, defend, get easy dunks and put backs.

Dwight has all the skills to do that and be a really good fit..... if only he didn’t have the mentality to think he’s a hybrid of Hakeem and Dirk.

Put on a show vs LA/Bron when many NBA eyes were watching and now shutting it down telling teams to come get him cause it's worth the price of admission... If they need another sample in what their trading for he'll lace up for another marquee game.

6 weeks huh.... Well that would put us right around Dec 15t...oh!

What's your thinking here Big Guy? What did you mean by that? You do have a real talent in connecting the dots on goings on around the league. Always enjoy what you come up with whether it comes to fruition or not.

LT: Dec. 15th is when teams can officially trade the free agents they signed this summer. For example, Lance, 'Do, swaGee and heck even Bron can be traded at that time. KCP can too, but he would have to consent in lifting his no-trade clause.

Btw, I'm sensitive about my weight...can I just go by "much taller than Sav" Guy instead?

Yeah I knew that. Was just wondering if you were implying maybe the Lakers would be interested in that hunt too at that time. He's really good but he's not Kawhi or AD or KD level to put multiples of our young guys out for in the "trade" portion of the rebuild to go with the FA cap space this summer. "Much taller than Sav" Guy.

My eyes are fixed on Kawhi and AD. Butler is a good get, but he wouldn't be my endgame.

But I only wanted to post that to imply that Minny is playing hardball with Houston and they need to step their offer up otherwise there will be a slew of buyers in 6 weeks.

I wonder who the centerpiece would be in a Laker trade if they pursued him. Do they even want him, and is he considered a winner?

SG Would be locked down for the foreseeable future if he was starting, and you had Hart backing him up.

Minny now wants Gordon in the deal too, right? Saw that yesterday I think or day before on Yahoo home page.

Knight and Chriss are now eligible to be traded. So I believe it could be Gordon/Knight/Chriss/4 1st rounders for Butler/Dieng

Minny wants to get off Dieng, but doesn't want to take on Knight's salary. Houston is probably thinking Knight has to be involved in order to take on Dieng. The extra picks are not necessarily for Butler, but to take on Knight's salary and to reroute Dieng to a 3rd team...so essentially, it's my belief that Minny only gets 2 of those future 1sts.

I detailed it earlier in this thread and I provided it below, if you like:

more of a "in the moment" idea but would love to get Wes Mathews, not just because of the game last night but he's always been a hard nose player, his D is all but gone but that 3pt shooting has always been there. KCP/Zu and a heavily protected 1st or 2 2nds? I know we got a backup SF in Lance already but Wes is better (also expiring contract)

I've always loved Wes Matthews, his demeanor and game. Went undrafted and made a name for himself while with Utah and POR. Has come back from a torn achilles. Just a good dude.
