I'm also glad they call this stuff afterwards. And just to be clear, I'm also glad they just call it and don't change it.

First of all, referees are also fined by the NBA, even if fans aren't aware of that most of the time. But more importantly, by calling this stuff, it generates a bit of a more fair refereeing. As a referee, I don't think you want mess a game and then have it officially announced by the league. It leaves a precedent so the mistake is less likely to occur again, and last but not least, it's a simple thing of cordiality. Just like in everyday life, there are times we mess up in something, and the only thing we can do is say "sorry". Sure, the apologize won't fix anything, but I think apologizing is still the correct act.

I was watching mavs/okc tonight and they called waiters for running a guy down during a break. jon barry's like "harden gets that call all the time". the disgusting thing was not that he was saying harden shouldn't get that call (he shouldn't; read the rule book)--it was that he was saying waiters SHOULD have. these things need to be corrected in the media as well as within the officiating. millions of fans have now sort of grown up believing that an offensive foul can't occur unless the defender is a pylon. this simply isn't true, and guys like jon barry--former players, even--perpetuate the myth on a nightly basis.

Durant was ejected from the game with 50 seconds to go, flagrant 2 foul. I dunno, he hit Anderson in the head, but every angle I see looks like he was going hard and quick at the ball where he thought it was going to be, missed it completely, and thus got the head. The announcers sounded shocked like it was malicious, but I'm not seeing intent there at all, pretty weak flagrant. If this were the 80's or 90's nobody even blinks. Durant had nothing to gain from this, thunder were up like 10 points, 50 seconds left, I think it was an accident. Is a flagrant 2 still an automatic suspension in the playoffs?

^I thought that was a flagrant 2. He wasn't even close to the ball, he just smacked a guy in head hard. You can't allow that.

Watching Deandre Jordan clank FT's and and the Clippers defense choke in the 4th quarter was like chicken soup for my soul.

Best thing is, Lillard has the killer mentality that can take advantage of Clips usual chocking.

Warriors messing around too much. If this was the spurs facing the Rockets, they'd be destroying them each and every game

I hope GS enjoys their record... first round exit would be beyond funny.

I'm not rooting for Houston, f*** them. Also, the Warriors are 1 of 2 teams that can beat the Cavs. Steph is breaking down it appears, sprained his knee in this game. If the Warriors can win and advance without him, it may be a blessing in disguise, he gets rest, they learn to win without him. They aren't winning the next round without him though.

Curry ankle and now knee, hopefully they can finish the Rockets off next game and have the clip series go 7. He needs all the rest he can get or else they aren't going to the conference finals.

Yup, Curry will need some rest. They are looking good in game 4, and they have to finish the series at home without their best player.

Game 5 at Oracle will help. They should be fine this series.

They demolished the rockets this time, Curry or not... in fact, they played better without him. Maybe seeing him go down helped somehow.... sense of urgency and all that...

It's likely they let up once they saw him back, the Rockets had energy early from that win last game, but reality set in. The Warriors already started to get a lead, then Curry went down and I agree, sense of urgency went up, didn't want to go home without Steph tied 2-2, they stepped it up.
