Booker's 70 is absolutely insane considering he is 20 years old. Not a single player in the history has done it before at his age. You can try to belittle it but its crazy for such a young guy. I think Booker has an edge on the court that most young guys lack. That edge can get you over the hump and he will get there. D'Angelo scores 40 in a loss...everybody is mezmerized. Booker scores 70 in a loss...people are questioning his value since its a loss...
I think its more how he got to 70 than anything else. It made it less impressive. Still somewhat impressive tho. 70 is still alot and only a handful achieved it
somewhat impressive? MJ needed like multiple overtimes to achieve his career high of 69...thas his airness... Booker scored 70 on crazy efficient numbers. Thats impressive, no matter how you look at it. How he got it might be "less impressive" but how many guys can get there even with the help of the entire team? The answer is not more than a handfull. And currently, no one has done it except for him.
http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=1-19080634 The Brooklyn Nets seemed to have the top spot in the lottery wrapped up months ago on behalf of the Boston C Bags, who have the right to swap picks with the Nets. But Tuesday's 141-118 win over Philadelphia was Brooklyn's sixth win in the last nine games. With three wins in their last four games, the Nets could tie the L.A. Lakers and/or Phoenix Suns.
I mean there's only what 4-5 years left? They'd have to win every game and the Lakers/Suns would have to lose every game. Just not enough time left in the year.
lol, yeah it sucks. Anyway, C Bags s*** the bed as expected. This narrative that they, the Raptors, or the Wizards have a chance in the East this year is laughable. The Cavs will flip that switch, and they will be in the finals. A team with 3 all-stars doesn't lose to a team with 1 that's also 5'9 in a 7 game series. LeBron absolutely took over that game today and tore the C Bags apart in the 2nd quarter, it was over by halftime.
boston doesn't really have any top-shelf talent. that will continue to show in the postseason. hell, it's not like they've even been that great in the regular season. they're just in a super weak conference.
For months (before they signed Horford) I said the C Bags roster wasn't better than ours. I was wrong. But not that wrong. I just underestimated Thomas. He's having a great season. I don't know that he can ever repeat the kind of year he's having right now. After him and after Horford, I'm not overly impressed with their roster. I know some people really like Smart, but I don't. Jaylen Brown has been about what I was expecting. Avery Bradley is pretty good. After that it's nothing but Olynyks, Amir Johnsons, and 15 draft picks that haven't made it to the states yet. I'm not impressed with them. I think they lucked out with Thomas in a big way and Horford has been underwhelming. Their window won't last long unless they make some big changes this summer. If they get Fultz and sign Hayward, then the game changes.
Add Fultz or Ball and they're making ECF for the next 5 years. Will we make a PO in that time frame? ☹️
