    Booker with 70
But apparently its like the young Ball scoring 90. Suns used fouls and timeouts in the fourth to help him get there.

Yeah, I mean 70 is 70, it's crazy, but watching the highlights right now it's kinda lame at the same time. It was a very millennial 70 points.

    70 + loss = loss.

    I'm not impressed.

Didnt see the game but read the suns kept fouling and calling timeouts to run bookers total.

The 70 would have been great if they had won against the grass stains. Nothing will top Kobe's 81 in modern era though. Sorry I'm biased. But 70 against a playoff contending green slime team at just 20 y/o is still awesome.

Getting 70 in a wire to wire/ blowout loss has to be a weird feeling .

This is still an insane accomplishment at 20 years old though

yeah 70 pts against a playoff bound team at age 20 is pretty insane regardless of how he got it

Yeah I'm not going to bash the kid. Heck of an achievement. Even with the boosting at the end, how many other players in the league can do that? A handful at best.

I agree, I might want to disparage a little but then I remember that only 6 players period have scored 70. Lebron has never done it, Jordan never did.

i don't think we'll know because i'm not sure any other team would generate the conditions necessary for it.

i think there's a fair amount of players who could score 70 if a) their team wasn't trying to win and b) their team was hell-bent on them scoring 70.

call me a hater if you want, but i truly believe that there's probably 15-20 guys in the league who could do this.

I agree. 70 is a lot of points, but when you've given up on the season (as a whole) and the game (in particular) and are just trying to get as many points as possible for one player, by fouling and calling timeouts, I'm not "as" impressed. Get it in the flow of the game or just by being extremely hot and I'm impressed. Force feeding it to pad the stats is ehhhh..... I've seen Kobe outscore a Finals team through 3 quarters and sit out the 4th. THAT'S impressive. 70 is a lot of points and he's young, so the sky is the limit, but not all high scoring games are the same.

right. i'm going to get skewered for it, but i think jamal crawford could score 70 in those conditions.

Jamal Crawford is a crazy scorer. I don't think you're necessarily wrong. I just don't understand trying to belittle 70 points. I don't understand the platform honestly. It's one thing to understand the context, but it's crazy to scoff at that total. If any of our kids got there, nearly regardless for the circumstances, we'd go nuts.

some would. i see people belittling our own guys' 4th quarter stat padding in blowout losses. what if that happened over the course of 48 minutes?

i don't know...i think there's a reason that the buzzing is about 50/50 between "omg...70 points!" and "wtf was that stuff?".

I mean it's fair to be skeptical about his performance. I suspect Wilt's would be similar if we saw that video.

I absolutely belittle our kids for stat padding down by 40 points, but in a sort of endearing way since they're our kids. There's a difference though between 70 points and an extra 10 points in a blowout.
