So why did New Orleans offer him $40mil? But if that's the narrative you want to run with. I'm not going to argue with you about it

To me it looks like Cousins wants to win. He is going to be like Rodman with Jordan and Pippen in that is is a super talant that is much maligned that pushes us over the top. We have three players that can only be slowed down by double teams. All three willing passers. Going to be fun.

I think the reason Cousins didn't get any max offers was the fact that he was big man coming off an Achilles injury, so he will be even more of a lumbering giant in pace and space league. And his reputation as a malcontent didn't help him as well. KD is widely regarded as the best player currently, with a reputation as a hard worker who will never stir up any trouble. But Cousins has things going for him that KD hasn't or has not yet done. Cousins has shown that he can still be an effective player, even if he is still not a 100%. And he is younger than KD. KD will have to in a year, adapt to a new team, a new system and a new teammate who is not the easiest to play with, all the while rehabbing his body that is entering It's thirties. He can still be a good player, just not the best player in the NBA, even though he is being paid as such. Cousins we have on a discount rate, so I guess in this instance Cousins>KD.

I hope he is eating right too, a lot of people at the gym work their a** off, but still look the same.

I think if he eat right and rest his body and train in moderation, that will let everything heal. I think his biggest concern is injury, let his body rest.

But being 15 to 20 lbs less will help out his lower body injuries.

Smh.... You really don't grasp the nuances of basketball and the NBA. If you're trying to compare Kevin Durant situation with DeMarcus Cousin

You are right, barely recognize him. I hope for his sake he return to his former glory and help us win a title next year, after that I dont mind him leaving us and getting his last big check from the NBA.

ok, so one of the issue is boggie is a big but was only 26 when it happened, kd is 30 n still got a max n definetly missing a whole yr. cuz at time of injury was known to be able to come back during the next season n only mgr to get 20 over 3 from pellies who were probably pretty desperate to keep good players to keep ad....so you tell me whats the narrative then? even 30yr old dj got 10m per for 4yrs, while cuz even this past season looked somewhat better than dj n couldnt garner such offers? like i said, i like the signing but considering the $ he got offered, the narrative aint overblown, its been deserved

How many finals MVP and NBA champions does Kevin Durant have? Okay now how many does Boogie have? It's really not rocket science

He does look great and I can't wait for this guy to prove to the league that we got the best value signee of the off-season and will play a key role for us this year starting with coming into camp in phenomenal shape.

    Can't wait!

Also, I get all the Rondo hate, but it sounds like he was one of the biggest reason for coming to the Lakers. If Rondo got us Boogie this year and after punching CP3 last year.....I can live with him

Both players have skills sets not completely dependent on athleticism, so hopefully they still have many more years in the league. Durant has played at the highest level in the league, and is a scoring machine. The faith that DMC can make a full recovery has obviously been a question because of his size, history, and reputation.

It's shocking he's making so little when you see guys that are relative scrubs or have produced far less than he has getting 10+ mill a year.
