Well the Iggy trade is official now so hopefully we start to hear more on that front.

I don't see anyway that Westbrook trade would've worked.

@D-Fish Man It was a "pipe dream" but yes, they called as soon as they found about about Kawhi and Paul George. My previous posts detail the timeline a bit.

I just dont see how that could ever happen. We dont have anything to offer. We going to dip into our picks for the years 3020-3022? Lol

Aside from that I dont really care for Westbrook at this point in his career anyways. He is starting to break down, has a mental block keeping him from shooting well and that max contract will be an albatross soon enough. We should start looking at who's gonna be available in FA in 2-3 years and start planning for LeBrons departure while we keep an ear to the ground for other possibilities in the meantime.

Beal is young enough to pay that kind of money and I like the Draymond/AD pairing as long as it's not max money.

Also we missed on Morris. Pay KCP and let someone who could have helped us get away....I understand the clutch dynamic but we have lebron and management could have told him look yo, Morris is a far better signing and gets us closer to a title then kcp. Tell your boy rich to chill so we can get you the pieces you need to contend.

Bron wants to win, I'm sure he doesnt give a damn about kcp or anyone else for that matter if it means bringing in someone better.

Morris defends, shoots the 3 well and plays hard every play. He also has a chip on his shoulder, a mean streak and isnt afraid to mix it up a perfect yin to AdS yang and you need a guy or two like that.

Also, if the Spurs signed him that tells you everything you need to know. Pop doesnt go after just anyone

KCP isn't as bad as yall make him seem, lets see how he plays this year without worry of being traded and a fa

He was our best catch and shoot guy from 3 last season. He has defensive potential, was very good in Detroit. Lets see what he does this year

I would have liked Morris, but if Kuzma grows into the guy, then Lebron and Kuzma will be our closing forwards anyways. If we get Iggy, who is an actual elite defender in the playoffs, then Morris would even have less time and KCP would be more valuable. We needed a backup sg or a guy who can defend the pg position.

bringing KCP back was clearly a thank you to klutch for AD

if we have to pay him whatever he's making to keep klutch happy and AD in LA i'm all for it

Any realistic trades we can make this season?

Mind you KCP and Mcgee have NTC. And I doubt we move Green as he is perfect fit (unless we can somehow get a star guard, dont see it being possible). Hard to match salaries unless we move multiple guys and Green.

Anyone see FVV being a possibility? Need about 7M to match salaries outgoing.

Cook, Caruso/Rondo, and THT (salary needs to be about 1.3M). 3 teamer. Possibly a 3 teamer if they are getting Rondo for a team in need of vet pg.

If just LA and Raps, Cook, Caruso, THT, and a 2nd hopefully. All we can offer.

    Morris - 10 million
    KCP - 8 million

We didn’t miss on Morris. Morris got a better deal elsewhere.

Question is would someone like Iggy take the ML?

Maybe they preserve it after guys start shaking loose...

That was my thinking. There were reports a few days ago that Iggy wanted more than the Vet Min. By us keeping the Room Exception I think that fits perfectly with what kind of deal Iggy would want. That's more than what the Clippers could offer him I believe or the Rockets.

That doesn't mean we cant add a minimum though and I'd definitely like more depth down low. We still have three roster spots I think right?

Rondo, Caruso, Cook, Green, Pope, Daniels, LeBron, Dudley, Davis, Kuzma, Cousins, McGee, Horton-Tucker.

You're right, two more. That's fine though, I still want a minimum level big preferably a veteran. Chandler makes some sense, but he is well and cooked.

Chandler just went to Houston to be CP2's one friend from their old NO days.

Wait. They are targeting him allegedly so CP2 will have a friend. Not there yet.
