This actually concerns me. He was essentially saying Kawhi is coming yesterday. Now he's hedging big time on Kyrie. Unless of course he's asking Kyrie to take the room exception.

Dream scenario: Houston somehow gets Butler with their tier 2 assets. They've done it. They have 3 stars and the Warriors are down with injuries.

We sign Kawhi and face roll them.

damn that's not a good sign from Cuffsthelegend if he's saying that about Kyrie...sounds like Kyrie really actually wants to go to BKN but I don't get why?

The only thing I can think of is that Butler and Kyrie are going to BKN or Kyrie and KD are going...

If I put my Lakers bias aside, Brooklyn makes a ton of sense. I have a different bias as well since I live in Brooklyn and love it, but the fan base is pretty great here. They really bought into the working class, all hands on deck culture that has developed under Atkinson. I can totally understand how the idea of taking that team to the next level would be appealing to stars. I think Kyrie is more of a 1B or 1C star and I don't see them doing a ton of damage deep in the playoffs, but all these stars have egos so I do understand why it has become a potential landing spot. I still think the story of reuniting with Lebron and his bud AD to bring a title back to LA is an even better story, but I get why some stars are giving them a look.

I don’t think Cuffs implying that Kyrie doesn’t want to win conflicts with his belief that Kawhi is on the way.

When you have receipts, it helps to check the return date on 'em haha. Like Doc said, those tweets are from days ago...not after his Klaw tweet.

    Also this tweet....

    Came before Woj's RHJ tweet...

...implying Ky is on the way to BK and the Nets are making their books work to get him a running mate.

Cuff clearly is plugged in, and knew about Ky moving a certain way even after the AD trade, so he subbed him with that tweet this morning.

Once Kyrie signed to Roc, it’s pretty much set the way AD signed to Klutch.

RHJ can’t shoot, good defender, but needs to improve his jumper to have any value.

It’ll be Kawhi or Butler from here.

Why? Why do we do this to ourselves?

I’m happy we traded for AD, thrilled, but Pelinka did give up a LOT if the trade is done on the 6th and not the 30th too. Now we’re going to mess up the moves around the best players again with terrible fits? I don’t want to hear names like Melo, Derrick Rose, Jamal Crawford, etc either. Melo and Crawford are done, Rose needs the ball, doesn’t play defense and is horribly injury prone. We need to go after players that fit, that can shoot and play defense, guys like George Hill that were mentioned yesterday.

Look, if we're going to consider Rondo again....then we need to make sure he comes at the vet's minimum...not for $9M. Why the "meme team" hurt us last year was because they were in place of a max superstar like Paul George...and they cost a pretty penny. If that close to max money goes to OTHERS that "fit" and can hit 3s OR it goes to another superstar? I'm fine with Rondo being back but ONLY at vet's minimum. DITTO on McGee and KCP. Stephenson can gtfo out though. Don't want him.

I don’t want any of those guys except McGee. We can’t build meme team 2.0. That’s exactly what Melo, Rose, Crawford, Rondo, etc are, bunch of names that used to be good and aren’t anymore or are terrible fits for us, have issues taking smaller roles, it’s dumb. Pelinka said they studied a lot for a long time to put that roster together last year, they looked at like analytics, if that’s true he’s a bigger moron than I even thought before.

I’m fine with it. These guys are pretty much locked in on Kawhi and there’s been nothing but smoke for the past year on it, similar to Lebron. National media saying no way, underground saying best be ready and then the national media flips slowly like they are now.

Brooklyn getting Kyrie and KD would be pretty cool. They literally started at the bottom and put themselves in this position. Good on them.

Knicks are well the Knicks. If they get no one this offseason, they are just a poorly run small market team in a big market city.
