Lebron’s most clutch moment as a Laker could very well be getting Kawhi here.

Getting Kawhi to the Lakers puts everything together. Lakers can keep their pick, keep the young guys from worrying about being traded, Lebron motivated and the Lakers have a player who plays both ways at 1st team quality.

I still see if we can package Kuzma, Hart and maybe a future first to get a vet in here. Kawhi and Bron makes us a contender, but unless Ball and Ingram take big leaps, we still may not be better than GS.

Would be great I think if Kobe teamed up with LeBron in recruiting him and other FAs. Kobe has worked with Kawhi in the past hasn't he? He would carry as much weight as Magic used to as far as respect for the game knows game dynamic. After Magic did what he did he shouldn't be anywhere around pitching FAs any more. Who would think he was credible any more even if he was talking up the Lakers now?

I agree, if Kawhi actually agrees to sign, it opens up a ton of possibilities trade wise to better round out the roster so that we are a legit threat to Golden State.

I think if you have both Kawhi and LeBron, it really makes Ingram expendable because now you have 3 really capable small forwards and only so much playing time in their ideal position.

The idea that’s been floated around where you try to trade Ingram for Beal makes perfect sense. Beal would be the perfect 3rd option and I s a natural shooting guard, and isn’t a one dimensional catch and shoot perimeter player. He’s very capable of creating his own shot, can space the floor, as well as create for others. The problem here is trying to make salaries match in a trade when you can’t just absorb the rest of Beal’s salary. You need that cap space for Kawhi.

Kawhi very likely isnt coming here, but y'all can keep on fantasizing about it.

Unless we get really lucky and a top tier FA is willing to look past our dysfunctional FO for an opportunity to play with Lebron, this will be the summer of disappointment. We need to clean up our own house before we have any credibility in the FA market.

Many of you like to bag on the Clipps, but when they have become a more desirable landing spot than we have, its time to suck it up, admit the obvious and fix the problems.

Lebron is already my favorite player, but I might forget all about his many faux pas and man purses, and short suits, and douche moments if he gets Kawhi here.

Because if he comes, it’s not because of our front office, that’s for sure.

By the way, I’m impressed by the coaching of Nick Nurse. Another dude from nowhere. Hoping Vogel shows he can be a capable coach with top level talent

Nurse has done a really good job. It's a basic move I know but putting a hobbled Kawhi on Giannis seems to have materially changed the series, we will know more after tonight's game.

Let's not forget that Kawhi dominates the game defensively in an era where defenders are asked to defend with both hands tied behind the back. Can you imagine if Kawhi was playing in the 90's?

How does Kawhi not making All NBA First Team?

Nobody in their right mind would choose PG13 over Kawhi...

It's a regular season award, not a "who's the better player" award. Paul George earned 1st Team honors this season. Kawhi took a lot of games off for health reasons. Totally justifiable PG got on the 1st Team over him.

It's a regular season award, and PG13 did have a tremendous regular season up until the last couple months. We can't compare playoff PG13 to the ridiculousness that is playoff Kawhi.

Kawhi is the guy I’ve wanted all along. He instantly makes us title contenders. Kawhi/Lebron would be the greatest wing tandem since Jordan/Pippen. I’m going to continue to speak him in a Lakers uniform into existence.

The thing I like about Kawhi most is he allows us to keep all our kids if we so desire.

There's blind/ dumb luck and that's possible I guess. But I dont like or chances.

There are several teams with alot of cap space this summer, but are they desirable destinations for top tier FAs? In my mind desirable= existing star or cap room to add one, decent core roster, good/ great coach, competent FO/ stable ownership, trade-able assets (picks, expendable talent) to add complimentary vets.

Based on those criteria, who is most desirable?
    1. Clippers
    2. Indiana
    3. Brooklyn
    4. Dallas
    5. Utah

I would not consider us to be in the prime desirable category because 1) FO instability; 2) new/ questionable coach, 3) LBJ not attractive to play with for some FAs. Other teams (NYK, Atlanta, Chicago, Sacramento) have considerable cap space but are undesirable too, IMHO.
