People sometimes forget our two final choices were Hillary and Trump. People voted for the lesser of two evils, but more than anything it’s a sad commentary on the state of US politics and leadership.

The best people and the most qualified people never get elected, and it’s sad.

Um, Bro, what the heck are you talking about? The report is available. Go read it: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

Not good enough? Fine. What about the report that only has grand jury material redacted as required by law that Barr has made available to congressional leaders of both parties, as well as the chairmen and ranking members of intelligence and judiciary committees in the House and Senate? There are 6 Democratic Senators who can view 99.9% of the report right now, but won’t because they’re trying to create a “crisis” out of nothing.

I’m far from a Trump fan, but man is this crap beyond old from people who can’t just face the fact that he won an election fair & square because Hillary was the worst candidate ever. The intellectual dishonesty is such a joke. There are plenty of valid things to criticize Trump over. This Russia fantasy BS ain’t it, Chief.

Surprised to see this thread still active. Genuinely curious, do a lot of you actually support Trump and his policies/rhetoric? Or are you moreso just annoyed by the left PC/outrage culture that blows things out of proportion?

Anyone here actually interested in how the Dem Primaries shake out and want to discuss it because you want to see Trump taken down?

I'm not American. I like Trump like I like some celebrities. He's flawed human being but not the evil person the leftist media is trying to portray him.

6 dem senators can view it? how is that fair? barr's offer also failed to allow access to any grand jury material. so they had every right to reject his offer to view the less-redacted version

they're trying to create a crisis? you mean they're concerned about the fact that russia meddled with a US election? you're making it seem like the report paints trump and his people as completely innocent. pretty far from that actually. not to mention trump's constant whining about NO COLLUSION and saying "i'm f*****" after finding about mueller's appointment. don't exactly scream innocence but they that's just me

always get a kick out of when people go to bat for trump and then throw in the "i don't support him or anything." it never fails. and i criticized trump plenty in my other post. the russia stuff is just the tip of the iceberg with him.

i post on a politics forum if you want to further talk trump/politics. let me know if you're interested and i can message you the link

There was legit no collusion. Mueller spent years trying to find something he could pin on him. The entire MSM that hates his guts have been digging under every possible stone trying to find something that will rid them of Trump. Years later, nothing.

On another topic, I "support" all US Presidents because I'm an American. Good things for the President usually means good things for our country. This isn't sports where there's a team I root for and a team I root against. I like certain policies of some officials, and like other positions of other ones. Supporting the President as a general viewpoint isn't something that oscillates whether I voted for him or not. I've been voting in Presidential elections for almost 20 years and most of the time the guy I voted for hasn't won. Still supported the President every single day.

Also, support doesn't mean fanboy for them. All politicians are selfish dummies. Not a fan of any of them, really. Trump, like any other politician will be praised by me when he does something worthy of it, and will be criticized when he does something that needs to be pointed out. Intellectual honesty is the only thing I'm a fan of in politics.

trump's campaign people were in constant contact with russians in the months leading up to the 2016 election. that has been confirmed obviously

not sure how you can say there was "legit no collusion." and what does any of this have to do with the media? if there's any media outlet that needs to be talked about its state ne....i mean fox news. as usual, every discussion with a trump supporter leads to "the evil media"

What does it have to do with the media? Oh, I don't know how about when they legit torched whatever speck of credibility they had left by slanting everything through their confirmed political biases. Most slant left. Fox News slants right. Both are trash.

Most people (myself included) just want facts and then be able to form our opinions from there. Sadly, that's almost impossible to find now, so you get a lot of people tuning out the media, especially when they do nothing but go all Chicken Little on everything that confirms their agenda ("TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN STOOGE!"..."THE EARTH IS GOING TO END IN 12 YEARS!"..."ALL COPS ARE RACISTS!").

It's all intellectual dishonesty and it causes us to ignore them if something actually noteworthy happens because they're so full of crap all the time and ramping up the hysteria over nothing for ratings.

yes of course every media outlet has its own bias

trump sure makes it easy for outlets like CNN and NBC to call him out though. i remember back when obama was in office and fox news threw a b*tch fit over him wearing a tan suit and ordering a burger with dijon mustard. don't be a garbage human being and the media won't be that harsh on you. not too hard

    Didn't say "too harsh".

I'm simply contesting your assertion that you just need to "not be a garbage human being and the media won't be that harsh on you".

We watched them sling arrow after arrow at the goodie-goodie Mormon Mitt Romney without daring to utter a word against Obama while they fangirled out. I'm just here longing for all Presidents & candidates to be treated skeptically by our media. The one-way street on this is what kills their credibility.

    its true though

the media will always be harsh. but for those like you who say the media treats trump unfairly, its pretty obvious he brings it upon himself because he's a terrible person and has done/said things that provoke a harsh media response. guess someone didn't watch fox news during the 2012 election if you really think no one was doing the same with obama.

oh and i forgot to mention fox news playing along with that "birther" BS that was brought to the forefront by none other than trump. but yeah, please keep telling me about how romney was treated unfairly

trump is about to pardon a number of US servicemen convicted of war crimes. nothing more than a move to energize his base. something tells me these wastes of oxygen wouldn't be getting pardoned if they had brutally murdered white christians. just sickens me

    absolutely chilling thread

Trump is balls out good or balls out bad. He doesn't have a balance. Pardoning war criminals for political reasons is as bad as it gets. I would like to know what these guys did though. If any of them were gunners and shooting people at random like they used to in Vietnam, those soldiers, PTSD or not need to be executed not pardoned.

The evidence against this guy was circumstantial with mostly eyewitness accounts. Some of his men said he did it. An Iraqi general and his aide said he didn't do it.

This was a military trial, so not all of the evidence is completely public. It's possible that Trump has received information that convinced him that those who testified against him were lying. If so, it's possible that perjury charges may result if a pardon is given.
