He should have been out for 6 months but came back early but now won’t be shut down to fully heal? Yeah not buying it.

He’s probably still playing to at least match the win total from last year. Can’t have that narrative around him if we win even less games this year.

 

No, I've been convinced by those that worship the ground LeBron walks on because of his STATS that when you are the greatest in the history of the game you don't resort to trivial s*** like that in order to feel secure.

 

we rarely disagree, but i do here. i think the narrative is SO important that he's willing to risk further injury (also, he's not playing on defense...at all). the narrative is that he'll stick it out in tough times--it's repairing his career-long pattern of shrinking from adversity, as was coming to la in the first place, tbh.

i think he probably should have been out longer and probably shouldn't be playing now.

If you think back, Rich Paul had some quotes about LeBron returning that seemed strange and an overreaction at the time. Looking back, I think LeBron wasn’t ready. Part of it is what @abeer3 just paid out.

The other is that we still had legit playoff hopes at the time. I think he, like many, figured he could come back, play through some discomfort and get us back in the 7th or 8th seed. Instead, the bottom fell out on every level for reasons i don’t even feel like rehashing and here we are.

Bron vows to never 'cheat the game'. He always brings it 100% no matter the situation. This Summer we need to work towards building the right pieces around him, so that he can be successful and win more Championships as a Laker.
