If we can land KD I don't care what he did in the past, it's about winning.

Just imagining the fear of the other 29 NBA teams if the Lakers has a 3 headed monster of LeBron/KD/AD gets me aroused lol.

    - sign KD as 2019 free agent
    - Ingram/ball/Kuzma for AD.

    Starting lineup of:
    Rondo/Hart/KD/LeBron/AD

Thats really cool of Rondo and Bron because they both have families to and for them to spend time with Kuz and Zu as well as of course supporting our G League team that speaks volumes. Awesome to see

KD is the only potential free agent next summer that is eligible for the 35% max. We cleared exactly KD's max for next summer via the Deng buyout. That's not a coincidence.

If we do S&t for a free agent, we most likely decide to send the kids to the East instead of up north (wait, up north like in the Bay, not "we the north"... You know what I mean), which keeps them not only in the conference, but the division as well. But our FO seems to be about player relations, so sending them to Toronto for Kawhi would seem kinda cold (wait...not again... well, you know what I mean). Then we gotta convince Toronto to do a S&t with us and although Rob is a religious man, you can't assume this Masia will deliver us the goods (you know what I mean).

But getting past all those obstacles/meanings, Kawhi's max is 32.7m (30%). Minimum outgoing salary for LA to bring in Kawhi via s&t would be 26.1m. Next summer our entire team, outside of Bron, makes a combined 24.8m. We wouldn't have enough salary.

Maybe we can S&t one or more of our draft picks to make up that difference...well, Toronto would need to figure out the roster situation cause that's alot of incoming players for just an outgoing Kawhi...but then again consider that with the mandated incoming 26.1m for Toronto to complete a max s&t deal with Kawhi, their team salary would then be $134m and with the tax theshold set to $132m, they're already over and would be just 4m away from being hardcapped at the apron ($138m)....meaning they couldn't accept those s&t'd rookies necessary for the salaries to work...all while paying that type of team salary and they're the ones that lost the max player.

Now if we use our cap to sign Klay as our 30% max guy , then we'd have roughly 5.5m in remaining cap space to absorb a portion of Kawhi's max deal...so now a minimum outgoing salary of 21.7m is necessary and we'd have the player salaries to make that work.

However, I just think it's more conceivable to bring in a max guy next summer (Kawhi or KD) and then use our youth to trade for that 3rd star that currently is on a far more cap flexible deal (AD or Giannis...and no, imho our boys shouldn't be aggregated and sold for the likes of 2nd/3rd tier players like Beal).

In all seriousness, Green has been the heart of that team for so long. It can’t sit well with him that the team sided with Kevin here. Wonder how everyone else feels.

Yeah, there was more to it than that... with Green it was about KD’s impending free agency.

This dust up could be the very thing that tears this team apart.

Klay, who rarely speaks up, tried to calm things. It must have been pretty bad.

Agree with Vash all the way here. I think we're going after KD full force in the summer and I think there is a good possibility that AD demands a trade this summer and that is when we offer up some of the kids. Plan A is signing KD or Kawhi and trading for AD if it becomes possible. We aren't going to mess with guys like Beal, IMO. Absolutely correct that it's no coincidence that we opened up enough money to make the offer for KD. We are swinging for the fences this summer.

Funny how KD gets called a snake for not being loyal to OKC of all franchises

Draymond is a bit much though. Lol. I’d think most of the guys were used to that but maybe it’s worn thin.

This may linger for awhile. If the reports of Draymond repeatedly calling KD a b***h in the locker room after the game are true, that ain’t good. Not saying they still won’t win it all, but those are some pretty harsh words to consider when KD makes his decision in July. I’ve always had confidence that Draymond would be the one to blow it up. He can’t help himself.

f*** OKShe! Them skirts is lame (except for the Kiwi).

But wouldn't you call this for lack of a better word...snakish behavior, and not in the mamba-flattering sense?

Imho, whatever s*** KD gets is more than deserved. I mean it would be like me creating another member account just to call myself a geniussss. Pretty snakey s*** huh?

That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to him being the target next summer...I just wouldn't prefer it with the other options available.

I mean I know Draymond was there first, but his crotch kicking antics cost them a title in 2016, and last the last 2 seasons Durant got them titles. His clutch play over LeBron in 2017, and his finally waking up vs the Rockets and taking over from there this last summer. If I’m the Warriors and I have to choose between Green and Durant, I trade Green tomorrow in order to lure Durant to stay. Green is a very nice player, he’s a glue guy, he deserves praise he’s gotten for being a key piece of these title teams, but he’s not Durant. He’s going to be an UFA after next season, they’re going to need to decide if they want to keep winning easy titles with Durant, or pay a career 9/7/5 guy (with admittedly huge defensive impact) that’s averaging 7.5/8/7 this year and having some nagging injuries. Seems like an easy choice to me if it comes to one that needs to be made.

Green is a huge, huge part of their team. He allows them to play small which helps run other teams off the floor, it also allows them to switch everything on defence while still providing rim protection, they run their offence through him which allows klay and Steph to play off ball where they are at their best - lastly he is a DPOY calibre player over the last 5 years.

He is the golden state revolution as much as curry. Meanwhile, Klay is the icing on the cake and KD is the cheat code that sold his soul to win a ring. KD will always be a snake and I want no part of him.
