The plan might be the same but the difference could be who is executing it... I for one reserve judgement until Johnson and Pelinka have made enough moves to warrant it.

One can have the same end plan as another but take totally different steps to get there. All 30 teams "plan" to win the championship in the next 5 years. This means precisely squat for most of them. Same end plan though.

Mitch and Jim would not have made the DLo&Moz/Lopez trade, it would have been a total admission of failure. This cap-space clearing alone makes it impossible to say the FO's plans sound the same. That is absurd.

But, ok, since some insist on saying it sounds like the same plan, we can say it's the same plan. The steps to get from point A to point B sure do not look the same. They are wildly different. The last FO was "coping" and hoping to not get fired. The new FO is pro active in dismantling the shackles the old FO put on us. The willingness of stars to come here has clearly changed. I said it before but you can copy what a successful salesman does and says but still not sell anything. People have to want to buy from you. The complaints offer no solutions, they are just complaints. Just maybe, Magic and Pelinka are qualified to figure this out. It just sounds like some really want Mitch and Jim and Mozgov and DLo back. They are gone, this is how we roll now. Let's let it roll down the street a bit before throwing rocks and garbage at it. It might just roll all the way down Figueroa.

Clearing Cap Space to aquire Free Agents is Not a "Plan". That is Basic Basketball Business Operations.
The idea might be the same, but it has to be. The execution & the pieces involved are completely different. & jbiggs, I will keep telling myself that, because it's the truth.

I'd like to think I know how to read, but maybe not. They weren't saying anything. We have Magic, Pelinka, and a superstar that says, a year in advance, that he wants to be a Laker. What is wrong with The Plan that it needs to be disparaged by comparing it to the previous regime? Any team in this league would want a superstar saying that regardless of their plan.

Vader then had a guilty conscience, did a good thing then died right after.
Nobody wants to see you on the dark side then coming around.
You're with us or you're against us ;)

Love how you ran away with the Vader reference and made it your profile picture lol. You're welcome babe.

They are trying to get the best high character players through trades, drafting and free agency. Improving the roster and gaining cap space. Completely clear to the players as to what is expected. Coach and management working together. Building a winning culture featuring hard work and team first attitude. Darn those guys..

In what way has PG been shown to be a "high character" guy? Many of you also seem to think that last offseason's moves were in line with the previous plan Jim and Mitch drew up. Do you guys not remember the years where we sat with bated breath waiting for Deandre/Whiteside/Lebron/Durant/Melo/Lebron(again)/Derozan/Aldridge to make up their minds? All the while losing out on "high character" secondary pieces.

This is a new regime. New overall talent on the team. My 49ers are going through it right now... All signs pointing in Frisco that were on the path to success again.

Shanahan and Lynch are top to bottom addressing everything and making sure no stone is left unturned.

There's a 90 man roster in the NFL doe so you can make a ton more moves. Its different in the NBA. Only so much you can do.

We need FA to get closer so we can see the follow up moves we make.

49ers probably aren't a playoff team, but they'll be more competitive. I'm expecting that Week 7 matchup to be a dog fight. They had my Boys down 14-0 before the comeback. Probably blow Dallas out if they had a decent QB that day.

Well that's the problem... you don't what you're talking about my dude.

This will be a different team next year, and right now it looks like we're the favorites to land George BY next FA.

Blaine Gabbert is on the Cardinals now and we got a whole new regime and over half the team is different than last years.
