I'd say thats a good deal. They get two young guards that still have potential and ended up picking a big man with the 7th pick. Interesting how this deal really popped up out of nowhere. But will Butler be enough to push Minny into the playoffs? Quite possible.

Butler had no comment after being notified (on vacation in Paris). I got the feeling he might not be happy (or just shocked). Could turn out to be an issue.
i think butler has to be quite annoyed that a) he signed his big extension prior to the cash bonanza and b) his team has tried to move him at every turn despite him being one of the best players in the league. now they ship him to siberia? does minny have room to rework his contract like houston keeps doing with harden and okc did with westbrook? that might be a show of good faith that gets him on board.
