So, I think most of us think Luke will he let go after the season.

That said, pick your replacement and why you would hire them.

    Or

Just vent about the current potential (rumored) candidates that we have heard per reports.

I have yet to see anything I find remotely interesting

Except David Blatt. Because then Lebron would want to leave

Whether we keep Luke or not, the assistant coaches need to change along with the roster, especially the 1-year vets. I'd keep the defensive assistant coach Brian Keefe, who is responsible for our top 10 defense before the injuries. The rest need to be re-evaluated. Phil Jackson didn't become a HOF coach without Tex Winter and Johnny Bach.

there's no one available at the moment aside from mark jackson or SVG

jackson deserves more credit for setting the foundation for the warriors current success but the stories i've heard about his relationship with the GS FO are nightmarish. no way i'd want that crap near this team

i wish JVG would consider a return to the NBA. he's the defensive minded coach they need

    Popovich.

There is zero chance it happens. He’s a Spur for life and has shown a lot of vitriol towards the Lakers. But I don’t care. Offer him the biggest contract in NBA coaching history. Throw in some ownership stakes and front office input.

He is literally the only guy who would make me confident in a coaching change.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s time to move on from Luke whatever that entails. But I will be skeptical of anyone outside of Popovich. The moves to hire Byron and Luke were applauded at the time. So I don’t trust the organization in hyping up Luke’s successor, and I don’t trust ourselves as a fan base in effectively evaluating their choice.

With that said, in terms of realistic options I would hope that we’d go with a lesser known coach. Someone fresh from college or an underappreciated assistant on another team. I just don’t trust that the organization would make the right choice I a subtle move like that.

    I dunno..

Brad Stevens, Mike Budenholzer, Doc, Carlisle, Popovic, Coach K...

Done with 2nd class coaches. Winning starts with a good coach.

Jackson, JVG etc haven't coached in years, no thanks.

I'll say it: hand down man down Jackson.

JVG is my 1st choice but I'd like the 2 of them together.

Stephen A. (Yeah, I know) said an interesting name that we might go after: Doc Rivers.

Hire another Phil disciple? Or hire another Pat Riley disciple? Cause that seems that's what the Lakers want.

I know. I don't care. Double their salary and bring them over.

Honestly, if we are serious.. We MUST do it. If we can pay kcp 12 mio, we can pay a coach too.

I think Jackson would be a terrible decision.

No offense if you’re religious, but Jackson’s religious devotion is a red flag as a coach in my opinion.

From what I’ve heard, Andrew Bogut legitimately felt alienated on the Warriors because he was an atheist and Jackson pushed his faith into the team. That’s disgraceful behavior as a coach in 2019 IMO. And then I’ve seen videos of Jackson preaching to strangers on the street. Almost come across as Westboro Baptist Church-esque where he’s compensating for the fact that he’s an adulterer.

I think it will be Jackson or Lue.

    I like Van Gundy.

I don’t think we will take a chance on any assistants.

The downside of this market is everything outside of hoops you have to deal with. I think we need a guy who hits the ground running.

The Lakers have one of the highest revenues in the NBA and haven't paid excessive salary or taxes for almost a decade now in order to have cap flexibility.

It's time they open the damn checkbook. They owe it to the fans for the garbage they have put on the floor for like forever..
