This is clearly an agent floating a “rumor”. No way it happens. There is no more toxic contract than Wall.

Too bad his contract is so horrible, because his numbers are excellent. I am talking about Wall, not Melo, if it wasn’t obvious.

    In case y'all were wondering:

Zo, Kcp, Moe, Lance, pick for Wall, Markieff, Green works

With Bron, Wall, BI, Kuz, Hart, Bonga, Svi, Deng dead cap and incomplete roster charges we have roughly 10.4m in cap space next summer.

Trading AD into that cap space would mean his 27.1m incoming salary would only be seen as 16.7m and that means LA only has to send out 11.7m worth of salary to go fetch him.

BI, Kuz, Svi, Bonga or Bi, Kuz, signing a 1st rounder will work in bringing in AD.

Rondo (vet min or room exception)
    Wall
    Bron
Markieff (vet min or room exception)
    AD
    Hart (supersub)

ie Team Klutch (with Simmons coming in the near future)

This is why I wanted to keep deng's contract around. I was floating deng/lonzo type offers for wall last year, but I'd want more from the wiz because we would be rescuing them.

Not sure it makes much sense now, though.

And I like wall's game but don't like how he takes care of himself. That contract could get really nasty if he keeps showing up overweight and getting hurt.

It sounds like Wall is the biggest source of all the discontent and drama in Washington. I know all our one year players have a reputation for causing trouble too, but Wall might be on a different level. I wouldn't take that risk.

His contract continues to 2023. At that point he is on the books for 46 million. For. ONE. season. We would be paying an old fat slow John Wall 46 million.

I watched one Wizards game this year, I think it was against the Rockets, and I was very impressed with his play. So, I decided to look at his numbers this season and post them here in case someone is wondering:

He is 28 years old. Played 24 games, 34 minutes per game and had 22 PPG shooting 44%, 3.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists with almost 2 steals per game. He is not an elite FT shooter, which makes him fit right in with the Lakers.

This is an interesting way to look at his shots:

The main problem with Wall is not his production (it's very good). It might not even be his bad contract. IMO, it is his attitude, although I don't know how this would translate if he had a change of scenery and played with Bron. Just my $.02

Interesting graphic. So, the graphic sees the court as 14 shooting zones.

In TWO of those 14 zones Wall shoots better than league average.
In FOUR of those 14 zones Wall shoots a comparable % to the league average.
In EIGHT of those 14 zones Wall shoots WORSE than league average.

You might be interested in comparing his style of play with Kemba's, for example. It's a little old, but still interesting.

This is the stat comparison from this year:

Kemba is a superior shooter, would fit better IMO. Also, he earns $12M per season. Wall earns almost $20M.

And that $20M balloons next year. Kemba I’m 50/50 and wouldn’t be mad if they made the move, but John Wall? That’s gonna be a no from me, dog.

I guess being around LeBron, Magic, Rob would do him good ... i think he could excel in our organization. Would be still a big gamble. But the way FA next is shaping up i am leaning more towards trading for a star. I still prefer Beal but he would cost us so much more. Maybe we could snag in a pick as well which we can use for AD.

I'd rather trade Ingram and Ball for Evan Turner for God's sake. Hell no to a contract that will be paying that dude 47 million dollars when he's 32 years old.

doesn't he need the ball to be himself?

How does that fit here? I'm not buying it.
